Surprise gender due in 1 week

our boys names list has been pretty easy this time around

I can’t believe I only just thought of Albert! I absolutely love the nickname Albie. Such a classic name and not in the top 100 where we live. Brother is Kasper.

for a middle name i absolutely love Forrest ( also considering Forrest for a first name but unsure if partner will 100 percent go for it)

Albert Forrest

only other boy names we have are Marlo and Otto

thoughts?

Albert nn Albie is nice

Forrest is a wee bit stripper and a whole lot naff

How about Albert Otto?

Fantasticfrollics · 19/05/2025 00:40

It's cute but very popular by me. I know several Albies (all under 2)

loropianalover · 19/05/2025 00:44

Albert’s Forest is a meme.

Albie is cute for a small boy, but Albert is a bit wet.

DiscoBeat · 19/05/2025 00:58

Albert is OK, although there are a lot at the moment. Forrest... At the least people will spell it the normal way, with one R.

Sashya · 19/05/2025 01:09

Please don't call your boy Forrest .....
And Albert Otto - is a 100 yo german man....

Albert on it's own is an OK name and goes with Kasper. Albie is a cute nick name - but only for a small child. And he will only be that for a couple of years. You need a name that'll carry him into a grown man too....

AnneMarieW · 19/05/2025 01:56

I love Kasper, but Marlo and Otto are really not my cup of tea (Marlo will get Marlow, is very trendy ”celeb” and will likely date and Otto is still a comedic German stereotype of a name to me, despite its newfound popularity).

I don’t love Albert as it’s still feels quite “old man” to me - but at least it’s a well used name so shouldn’t cause him any issues and Albie is very cute on a young boy. Forrest is a fun quirky middle name - but for me the Gump references are still too strong to risk it as a first name.

Freya2456 · 19/05/2025 01:58

The “normal” name way is actually with two R’s if you look it up.

I like Albie and Albert as the full name sounds smarter and gives more options.

I don’t agree that it is wet or not suitable for an adult.

Moreteaandchocolate · 19/05/2025 07:13

Albert nn Albie is great! It is fairly popular round us but not as much as Alfie. Forrest is great as a middle name. Otto and Marlo are ok but I prefer Albert.

Redflamingos · 19/05/2025 13:19

Love Kasper. Classic and not overused/fashionable.

But i really don’t like Albie, Alfie type of names. They’re overused and are starting to sound dated imo. We know sooo many.

Pigeon123456 · 19/05/2025 14:11

Really like Albert although I prefer Bertie as a nickname personally. I accept this may just be me! 😀

Muchtoomuchtodo · 19/05/2025 14:13

I have heard of several little Albie’s over the past 18/12. If you don’t mind it being quite popular go for it!

@DiscoBeat It's a name not the noun, and Forrest is the normal spelling.

Well yes, if people happen to know that. I would have spelt it Forest if I'd just heard the name.

DuchessOfNarcissex · 19/05/2025 16:34

You probably think that Donald and Melania's son is called Baron or Barren.

StScholastica · 19/05/2025 23:48

How about shortening Forrest to "Frost".

mrssunshinexxx · 20/05/2025 00:45

Prefer Bertie x
