Short middle name for boy

Hello, looking for a short , preferably 1 syllable name for baby boy on the way.
We liked Finn, Kai & Max but they are in use in our circle in a way that it would be awkward to use it.
When I was thinking of girls names as well I loved nature names like fern, wren, Brooke and rain but I can't think of boy names in the same vain. (Apart from Fox which in do really like but worry it will make his sound like a cartoon character)

@WokeMarxistPope I LOVE Fen but it doesn't work with the first name at all.

Wren is a lovely name, spelt as Ren for a boy.

Fern is lovely for a boy too I think.
I also know a Fox who is about 8 and suits him so much and I’ve met a little boy called Wren and really liked it on him x

Heath is the obvious short boys nature name, but I can’t see it suggested anywhere? Plus it also fits the surname trend too, I’m surprised it’s not more widely used.

Lev and Zev are also cool and have nature name meanings - lion and wolf respectively.
