Which Name Flows The Best?

Loucritten · 12/05/2025 02:24

I am being induced into labour today, still not come to a decision on the name.
Here are our options:
Asher Grant Critten
Elias Grant Critten
Isaac Grant Critten

Which name out of the above, flows nicely with the middle and surname?

Thank you x

Isaac Critten - Isa Critten. Others are better.

Elias would be my first choice, Isaac second. Don't like Asher at all, especially not with Grant.
Elias is beautiful

wandawaves · 12/05/2025 02:41

Definitely Elias.

Isaac

Flatandhappy · 12/05/2025 04:37

Love Elias. Good luck.

SorrowsPrayers · 12/05/2025 05:47

I like Isaac, however it sounds like Isa Cretin, which won't be good at school. Sorry.
Good luck today.

Elias

Elias

Moreteaandchocolate · 12/05/2025 06:36

I’d go for Elias. I think the flow with the surname is what matters.

Isaac Critter - I sa cretin
Asher Critter-(may become Ash Critter - Ass Critter

Elias / Eli Critter is best (I like Ritter - but that’s not likely to lead to teasing)

WaltzingWaters · 12/05/2025 06:38

Asher

EcruCardigan · 12/05/2025 15:16

None of them flow very well. Middle names tend not to be used, so the Grant doesn't matter so much.

Is that due to the middle name?

I think any but drop the Grant. Sounds like grunt.

EcruCardigan · 12/05/2025 19:19

No, the names don't flow well as full names or first name + surname.
It's not the easiest surname.

As I said, middle names aren't used much. Think of most people and chances are they are something like Noah Smith or Olivia Jones and you won't actually know their middle name.

SummerDaysOnTheWay · 12/05/2025 19:56

Why the middle name?

EcruCardigan · 12/05/2025 20:16

@SummerDaysOnTheWay , I think it's the father's middle name.

Why the middle name?

It’s the little ones dads middle name x

Asher

BootballJoy · 12/05/2025 22:56

Elias

PurpleChrayn · 12/05/2025 23:13

I wouldn’t end with a consonant. Isaac Critten sounds like “Isaac written.”

s3tut0y3r · 12/05/2025 23:24

I hope all goes well for you. All are great names but I think Isaac flows better. Grant is a lovely name .

SophiaSW1 · 12/05/2025 23:41

Asher flows best

Bramble25 · 12/05/2025 23:45

Elias. Good luck and congratulations! X
