We are due a baby soon and can’t decide on her name! Her sibling is Ava

We are thinking either Isla or Emmie, what do people think?

I do like Scarlett but her surname is Martin so wasn’t sure it went!

Not another Isla! It's OK, but it seems to be every other girl baby now.

Emmie is sweet, but I would have it as a diminutive of Emma, Emily, Emmeline, or perhaps Emilia or Amelia.

I think Isla and Ava are too similar. Emma with the nickname Emmie is slightly better.

I love Isla with Ava. Emmie is gorgeous but I would use as a nn for Emma / Emilia.

Emmie Martin is too many m's for me! Emma Martin is even worse.
Ava and Isla are a bit too samey for me.

Of the two, Isla. I like Emma but not Emmie.

I voted for Isla, it is quite common now though.

Emmie / Emma doesn’t go with the surname. Skye Martin sounds like a bird.

Emma is lovely, Emily is ok. Likewise Emilia or Emmeline are ok. All could easily shorten to Emmie, but Emmie alone is infantile and not a stand alone name.

Isla is ok.

Emma would get my vote if that's an option. Emmie will be a cute nickname for when she's little, but she won't thank you when she's older if she's just Emmie on her birth certificate.

If it's Emmie or nothing as far as that name goes, Isla would 100% get my vote.
