I love a name i first heard 6 months ago, it's really grown on me: Coral. I think it's lovely and deserves wider use.

How bizarre - DH has just texted me to say he loves Coral!

To me it's a bit blue rinse old lady brigade.....or something. I will have to sit on it for a bit.

The name Coral reminds me of the 'Golden Girls' for some reason

Wanted to add a few more suggestions:

Celandine - from the name of the flower and the Greek word for "swallow", I think this is very pretty and delicate.

Solace - I love the soft sound of this and the meaning, and although it's uncommon I don't think it's weird.

Linnea -from the name of the flower

Celeste/Celestina - just love that it means "of the sky, heavenly"

I think Solace is gorgeous and I do adore Sol too, so that would work both ways....

OMG, that's them. I had a tape of them back in the late 80s when i was still in Romania. I haven't given them a thought since then.

OK, so they were 4 and not sisters, but it's 20 years since I gave them a thought. Still, none is called Coral, and it's still a beautiful name.

Opal as in Opal Fruits?! Well at least it's a discontinued line I suppose, most people won't think of it, I must just have my mind on sweets at the moment!

I think Clover is pretty and very unusual, but not so unusual that people would be about it... only problem is the "low fat spread connotations" (this coming from a RL Flora.... )

how about a bird? Lark or Linnet or something? Probably not Thrush or Grouse though
