I really love the name Claire and I’m after some honest opinions. It means “light/ bright” and I think it’s beautiful, but is it too ‘80s? I quite like that it can’t be shortened as well.

I love it. It’s my daughter’s middle name, named after my lovely MIL. It makes me think of a sparkling clear fountain. I love the sound and the meaning.

Maybe from that French children's song A La Claire Fontaine' ?

I love Claire/Clare and for the same reasons love Louise - simple, elegant, French vibe whilst also very English - go for it!
Although not together! Maybe add a more unusual middle name as contrast/ an option if she wants a change at some point?
