Help with baby names

Hi,
We are expecting another baby in Oct. We have a little boy named Carlo James. Our last name is Webster.
We will not be finding out the gender. I have some options for girls but find boy names especially difficult.

Olive Georgia Webster
Mackenzie April Webster
Olive Mackenzie Webster

I can’t decide whether I prefer Olive or Mackenzie. As for boys the only names I’ve found that I like are Louie and Tate - my husband isn’t particularly keen on either.
Thoughts on those names would be amazing and any other suggestions would be great. Thanks

Georgia Mackenzie Webster.
Or Mackenzie Olive Webster.

Olive doesn't go with Carlo at all.

I like Louie - but prefer it written Louis ... just personal preference.

Im a lover of the names Blake, Roman, Thomas and George for boys.

for what it's worth on the girls names, I love April! I actually think April Mackenzie sounds the better way round. Good luck with everything xx

Mumofgirls2017 · 13/04/2025 21:51

Olive as first name 100% +++

like both Louie and Tate.

Bestfadeplans · 13/04/2025 21:54

What about ophelia or Mackenna?

RhododendronFlowers · 13/04/2025 21:56

I don't like Mackenzie as a girl's first name. It just sounds as if you're calling her by her surname.
April, however, is a lovely name, and not over used. If you want to make it sound more Italian, like Carlo, you could use Aprila.

BoleynMemories13 · 13/04/2025 22:35

Mackenzie is definitely more of a boy's name in the UK, so Olive is the best option of the two. I prefer Georgia or April though as first names.

I like Louis, spelt properly. I really dislike Tate. I don't think our opinion on either matters though if neither of you likes the other one's choice. You need to find a compromise.

Reddelilah · 13/04/2025 22:47

I like Olive and Louie.

i think the Louie spelling has become the more popular one in the UK?

Moreteaandchocolate · 13/04/2025 22:56

I like Olive a lot - I’d go for Olive Mackenzie 😊 (I also love Georgia - Georgia Mackenzie is very nice).

Boys - Louie is lovely. Do you like - Lewis, George, Luca, Leo, Toby, Rory, Ezra, Levi, Blake, Bryce, Logan?

theunbreakablecleopatrajones · 13/04/2025 23:45

Georgia for a girl - it goes well with Carlo and is both pretty and sparky

Louis is quite nice but spell it properly.

MacKenzie and Tate are a bit low rent. Olives are best in salads.

Other ideas for a girl - Lara, Zoe, Jasmine, Zara, Leonie, Elodie, Tara, Tessa, Vita

For a boy - Luca, Frank, Francis, Jonah, Leon, Victor, Tristan, Max, Vincent, Ivan

Mackenzie is awful. It means 'son of Kenneth' or something. Kenzie is better, but it's still not great.
I'm not keen on Olive. It seems frumpy.
Georgia is nice
Louis is OK. The Louie spelling is more popular but I think it looks naff.
Tate is a surname. Will probably get called Tato.

LetTheWindBlowBackYourHair · 14/04/2025 11:02

Congratulations!

I don't understand the love or Olive, it just sounds like a food to me, I'm possibly being a little hypocritical as I love flower names for girls, but Olive is akin to calling a child raisin, or grape to me, sorry. i tis well loved though so it's probably just me!

Quite like Mackenzie. But Georgia is gorgeous, would you consider that as a first name? I think Georgia Mackenzie is lovely.

Louis is really lovely, but why anyone would consider naming their son Tate while Andrew Tate and his brother are active in the world I have no idea!

HugoYorway · 14/04/2025 11:06

April is a bit strange for an October baby.

crookkkkk · 29/07/2025 21:48

Olive is fabulous and Louis .

miniaturepixieonacid · 30/07/2025 13:12

I don't really like Olive, although I'm getting more used to it the more popular it gets.

Mackenzie I do think is lovely but it's so American I always wonder if anyone could get away with it in the UK. I've never met a British Mackenzie (except for a couple of Scottish boys where it was actually their surname but they went by their surname instead of first name).

I love April and think I also prefer Georgia to Mackenzie assuming your are UK based. I love Georgina and Georgie is very cute as a short version of either.

April Mackenzie would be my pick from your names if you're open to switching them round. And, if not, then Mackenzie April.

I don't really like the boy options. I used to quite like Tate but now I just think of Andrew Tate. I really like Lewis but not Louis so much, though it's ok.
