A sister for Dylan

Unable to come up with any strong name contenders for a sister for Dylan (DS).

We don’t have any Welsh connections so trying to avoid another Welsh name. Thinking feminine but not too twee… and not keen on any of the top names in lists we’ve looked at.

Currently liking Imogen and Lila (pronounced Ly-la) but I think the latter is out as there are so many similar, double syllable names around.

Surname should go with most options.

Any suggestions much appreciated!

Imogen is a great choice.
I think Lila will constantly be saying it’s pronounced Lyla not Leela or Lilla or Lilia.

Hanna as pp suggested is lovely though and although you said you didn’t want another Welsh name. It goes so well with Dylan.

When I saw the name Dylan thought immediately Charlotte . The nn Lottie goes with Dylan also .

VimesandhisCardboardBoots · 02/04/2025 16:49

Some friends of ours called their second Marley.

I wouldn't recommend this approach, it's mostly led to suggestions that they should name a third child "Monkhouse"

They could always go with Hoskins or Hope!
