Wilf would be Wilfred on Bc but referred to as Wilf day to day.

Maybe she is, but that’s a good point.

Peers at school might pick on Wilf, due to the ‘ILF’ connotations (MILF, DILF, GILF)

Because of that, out of the two I choose Frank.

Emanwenym · 01/04/2025 10:33

Neither. They're not bad, but they're not great. If I had to choose, Frank.

I can’t get on board with either, sorry.

comoatoupeira · 01/04/2025 17:30

Would you consider Will instead?

Immersivepotato · 01/04/2025 17:38

Wilf / Wilfie is very popular at the extremely posh school my DNs go to, age 13 downwards - not sure if that is a pro or con for you! Frank is a more recent grandad name, so there are still plenty of older Franks alive, few Wilfreds, so I would go Wilfie for that reason.

AdaColeman · 01/04/2025 17:48

Wilf!

CarrieOnComplaining · 01/04/2025 17:50

Frank.

Wilf

Calliopespa · 01/04/2025 20:37

Don’t mind Wilf but anyone who has seen Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em will have a strong aversion to Frank I expect!

Doolallies · 01/04/2025 20:39

I like both but would choose wilf

PurBal · 01/04/2025 20:48

I love both.

ScentOfAMoomin · 01/04/2025 20:50

Frank, much nicer than Wilf

Cheepcheepcheep · 01/04/2025 20:53

I have a Wilf! More often Wilfred than Wilf but I like it, aware it’s a marmite name but his sister has a marmite name too so clearly that’s just us 😂

Frank for me will always be pronounced Frunk but that may be showing my Father of the Bride age…

GoodVibesHere · 01/04/2025 20:55

I don't like either. Especially Wilf, it sounds so wet to me.

SparklyStone · 01/04/2025 20:56

Wilf

HeySnoodie · 01/04/2025 20:58

i love both names but Wilf has the edge for me

HeySnoodie · 01/04/2025 20:59

I also like Rafe
