So we've got our first name sorted: Bodhi, we're just stuck on a second name OH likes Evan I'm not to sure, any suggestions welcome as I'm currently 29 weeks pregnant.

What initial surname?
BE?

Catandsquirrel · 26/03/2025 10:22

Evan is fine, nothing wrong with it but I would personally go for a consonant initial after a vowel ending for the best flow.

Are you wanting a Welsh middle name re suggestions?

HugoYorway · 26/03/2025 10:34

I prefer Evan to Bodhi. Ewan is nice too, as are many Scottish names.

Firsttimemom1 · 26/03/2025 10:43

@Easterbunnygettingsorted initial is P

@Catandsquirrel my surname used to be Evans hence Evan but not too sure I like it even though there is meaning behind it

Use Evans. I know some children who have their mothers maiden names as their middle name. I always think a middle name is a nice way to use a family name or someone who was or is special to you.

It can be absolutely anything (as long as it doesn't make the initials spell a dodgy word perhaps!) middle names are so very rarely used let alone spoken out loud. I'd use your full maiden/previous name.

Is baby a boy or girl, OP?

I've only heard Bodhi for a girl and Evan for a boy, so would probably use Evans in the middle to honour your surname.

Evans is really nice then, or Evan. I'd go with that!
