Boys name help

My little boy is already here and I’m struggling to decide on a name for him. I have a daughter called Isobel and my surname starts with an M. I like longer traditional names that can give a few nickname options. My current short list is Alexander, Benjamin, Callum, Joshua and Nathaniel. Thanks!

Nathaniel! (I may be biased at that’s my DHs name, but I love it)

So many nicknames, Nat, Nate, Nath, Nathan - it’s so versatile

Alexander is a great name and I think it goes the nicest with Isobel.

Isobel and Alexander sound right to me - very classic/timeless and popular (especially in Scotland) but in a nice way, rather than trendy. And Alexander has so many diminutive options that he’s spoiled for choice.

Alternatively I also very much like the sound of Isobel and Nathaniel together (although I think you really have to like the nn Nat/Nate, as it has few other options -maybe Han? and as a 4 syllable name it’s very likely be shortened too).

I wanted to vote Alexander or Joshua! Don't care for Nathaniel personally.

Nathaniel and Alexander are my favourites by far, but you have a good list imo and all would go well. I just love Isobel with this spelling too.

All lovely choices but these were my top 3. I think they are all names that grow and won’t sound to young when they are older!
