I love timeless classic names and I'm currently trying to decide between the following two names:
Alice Catherine
Grace Elizabeth
Do you like these names and which would you choose? Thanks

I like Alice Elizabeth!

Hattie907 · 13/03/2025 11:52

Grace Elizabeth

I like Alice Elizabeth!

I agree with this!

BasicBeach · 13/03/2025 11:57

I like Catherine Elizabeth 😬
Sorry!

TelexMachine · 13/03/2025 12:09

Alice Catherine, I also like Elizabeth. Gone off Grace over the years, not sure why.

shoopshoopdedoo · 13/03/2025 12:14

I also like Alice Elizabeth best!
Of your options, I prefer Alice Catherine.

Moreteaandchocolate · 13/03/2025 12:17

Alice Catherine!

BootballJoy · 13/03/2025 12:18

Elizabeth is the most timeless, then Alice (not many in their 60s/70s when Alison was more popular), then Catherine (boomed in the 1980s), and I'd expect a Grace to be under 35.

I'd go Elizabeth Catherine or Catherine Elizabeth. Alice is nice enough, not a fan of Grace.

HereintheloveofChristIstand · 13/03/2025 12:19

Both absolutely lovely (not helpful).
So refreshing to see real names on here and not silly nicknames

LoudPlumDog · 13/03/2025 12:55

It depends on your surname, any middle name, and siblings.

Alice is my most favourite girls name. I don’t like Catherine, but love Kate.

However, if your surname starts with an A, I would use Grace. I don’t like alliteration.

Alice is gorgeous I'd go with that.

KayEmAy · 13/03/2025 15:21

Grace Elizabeth

Needspaceforlego · 13/03/2025 15:33

I love Grace but like Alice
Op are either Catherine or Elizabeth family names because that could swing the middle name for me.

All great names, let one grow on you.

MistyF · 13/03/2025 15:43

I don't understand Alice or Grace snob, I think they are much better as first names than Catherine or Elizabeth, with are way more bland than Alice or Grace. If it would be my choice, Catherine or Elizabeth would be too religious and too boring for me. I do agree Alice and Grace are trendy and more popular today, but I find Alice and Grace more magical than both middles.

I like Alice better than Grace, so my vote goes to Alice Catherine.

Emanwenym · 13/03/2025 17:03

I like all the names, but Grace is the one I like least, and I don't like it as a middle name.

I'd pick Alice Catherine, if Alice goes with the surname.

Moveoverdarlin · 13/03/2025 17:05

I’m not keen on Grace at all but love Elizabeth and Catherine.

user1492757084 · 13/03/2025 17:53

All four are great names.

Grace Catherine 10/10 for me.
Catherine Elizabeth 9/10
Elizabeth Alice 9/10
Alice Elizabeth 9/10

pearbottomjeans · 13/03/2025 17:59

Are you graceful OP? If not (I’m not) then your DD probably won’t be either so I’d steer clear 😆

They're all equally inoffensive and uninspiring IMO, I like the shorter 2 for first names as you’ve put in OP. I’d go Alice if I had to.

Pemba · 13/03/2025 18:01

I like all those names, great classic choices!

But I would probably go with Alice Catherine, as at the moment I think both those names are slightly more unusual than either Grace or Elizabeth, plus I adore Alice.

Raininginparadise2 · 13/03/2025 18:26

Love all 4 in any combination. 🥰

oakl79 · 13/03/2025 18:43

Alice Catherine

ApolloandDaphne · 13/03/2025 18:48

I love Alice Catherine.

CarpetKnees · 13/03/2025 18:59

I like Elizabeth best, as a first name.

Then Catherine.

Alice and Grace both fall into those names that, whereas I certainly don't dislike them, I can't really say I particularly like them either.

Mumofgirls2017 · 13/03/2025 19:38
