Names that sound like Freya

I’m looking for a name that sounds like Freya but doesn’t start with an F. We are expecting baby number 3, but our other two children have names that start with F (think Florence and Francis) and I didn’t really want another because it sounds matchy and deliberate, but it really isn’t! I don't like names that start with F specifically, it just happened that way.
DH and I like Freya but I’m really not keen on the F. DH is particularly fussy too. He doesn’t like anything that is slightly out there. Other names we’ve sort of agreed on but aren’t 100% convinced on are Eden, Sasha, and Charlotte. A boy would be called Nicholas.
Thanks!

Freya is lovely, if that's what you like go for it.

Alternatives:

  • Nerissa (from Shakespeare, can be shortened to Riss if you like)
  • Vashti (Persian queen)

Years ago we met a family with a daughter, Taya. I'd not heard the name before. It might fit your brief?

On the flip side I'd hink it weird if two children have an F name but your third doesn't. Freya is a really nice name.

You could do another lovely norse name like Ingrid or Astrid. Freya is a beautiful name. I think the Norse girls names sound very strong and powerful!
