One of my children we named Isaac. It suits him well.

BlueMonkeyChewing · 28/02/2025 22:11

as long as your surname isn't Cox

NuffSaidSam · 28/02/2025 22:12

I think it's meh.

Don't love it, don't hate it.

Or Hiscox

NancyJoan · 28/02/2025 22:14

It’s lovely. Classic and classless.

Or Hiscox

Or Hunt

FlutteryButterfly · 28/02/2025 22:15

On a serious note it a lovely name. It does have slightly different pronunciations though. eyez- ook, eye-Zack

marsunin · 28/02/2025 22:16

love it

Purplecatshopaholic · 28/02/2025 22:17

Really like it. A bit different but not out there. Classic.

toastofthetown · 28/02/2025 22:22

It's nice but very popular in England and Wales at the moment.

Rainbow1235 · 28/02/2025 22:44

My grandson is Isaac but spelt issac . It’s a lovely name

Immavet · 28/02/2025 22:46

I love it. Classic and not overused. Be prepared for people to misspell it though (from experience!!)

I have one, I love it but wherever we go, there is always another!

Or Hunt

Or Balls.

Sorry, I always think of ‘I suck’.

RainingRoses · 28/02/2025 23:38

Many people will spell it wrong. Countless cards and gifts addressed to “Issac”. Personalised gifts and clothing with the wrong spelling. It’s really very surprising how many people struggle to spell it.

BoleynMemories13 · 01/03/2025 06:54

Isaac is a strong, classic name. Old testament names are really in right now, but don't feel faddy like certain other trends.

Just be wary, as above, that some people do struggle to spell it. Issac makes my teeth itch!

Yes, the inability of people to spell it really surprised me. We had a very generous full set of embroidered gifts sent to us (towel, bathrobe, teddy bear etc) - all proudly emblazoned "Issacc"... not just one mistake, but two. I mean, who doesn't check spelling when they order something like that...

WaltzingWaters · 01/03/2025 07:35

Nice name. Some pp have said it’s quite popular, but I’ve not come across any recently.

EggandStress · 01/03/2025 07:41

I love it, was a strong possibility if I'd had a boy.
(Spelt Isaac though!).

HugoYorway · 01/03/2025 19:29

Best avoided with a Names surname.

Mugcake · 01/03/2025 19:35

Really like it!

WholeHog · 01/03/2025 19:39

I like it. Zak for short.

shoopshoopdedoo · 01/03/2025 20:39

Like it!

17caterpillars1mouse · 01/03/2025 20:42
