I really like both names, lovely.

AbbeyA · 10/05/2008 08:30

I like them both but if it was me I would officially put Eleanor so that she has a choice later on.

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/05/2008 08:35

Isla.

artichokes · 10/05/2008 08:35

Nell is lovely.

collision · 10/05/2008 08:36

Nell

Nancy66 · 10/05/2008 08:37

they're both really pretty but Nell would have the edge for me.

BBBee · 10/05/2008 08:38

NappiesGalore · 10/05/2008 09:23

love both

nell12 · 10/05/2008 09:23

Nell!

(I am Helen by the way!)

MrsJohnCusack · 10/05/2008 09:30

both lovely
Think Nell is a bit more unusual at the mo if that's any help. I'd like Nell for Theoretical Third Child but I don't think DH that keen

Alishanty · 10/05/2008 09:41

I prefer Isla, which is what my friend has just named her baby.

alfiesbabe · 10/05/2008 09:58

Prefer Isla. Nell is quite sweet but only as an abbreviation - it's not a proper name.

mumblesmummy · 10/05/2008 19:00

Isla's beautiful.

As long as your surname doesn't begin with an A like Andrews or something.

Thankyouandgoodnight · 10/05/2008 20:08

My friends little girl is called Aneila and she gets Nell for short, I love it, she is Scottish though and I think the accent makes it sound better, but then I like most names said in a Scottish accent better

norkmaiden · 10/05/2008 20:11

Isla for me.

snowleopard · 10/05/2008 20:15

Oh I LOVE Nell. Have always thought I might like to use Nell (or Nella) if I ever have a girl.

Isla is a bit less cool, more middle-aged-seeming to me. I just think of Isla St. Clair...

Shells · 10/05/2008 20:30

I like Isla MUCH better. Can't get horrid Nelly from Little House on the Prairie out of my head with Nell and my niece is called Nell too. Oh dear. I do think Isla is lovely.
