Opinions on Alma or Eliza.

We find girls names so difficult to choose from but seem to be coming back to these two!

Eliza/Elizabeth is a classic and similar vibes to Frank I think. Personally I'd put Elizabeth on the BC but you could probably get away with Eliza without it impacting the look of the CV.
There's always Elise.

I like Alma more, but if you go for Eliza, it is very wearable as it is. No need for longer name on bc

Alma

Snowmanscarf · 19/02/2025 14:05

Eliza is lovely.

I prefer Eliza.

What about Norma?

I met a four year old Norma recently, such a cutie.

BootballJoy · 19/02/2025 15:16

Out of those two definitely Alma.

HannahMama88 · 19/02/2025 16:29

@LoudPlumDog I actually love Norma, husband not so keen but I’m going to try and get it back in the shortlist!

Eliza is my favourite- gorgeous and elegant.

shoopshoopdedoo · 19/02/2025 18:55

I much prefer Alma!

Eliza is OK but I always think it sounds a bit harsh, plus it seems very popular on here at the moment.

Goandygo · 19/02/2025 18:58

I love Alma.
I do like Eliza, too.
Sorry, not much help !

Firsttimebabymummy · 19/02/2025 20:47

Prefer Eliza.

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 19/02/2025 20:49

Not keen on Alma.

I love Wendy.

BaMamma · 19/02/2025 20:50

No-one has said Betty?!

SquawkerTexasRanger · 19/02/2025 20:50

I really like Alma

Stichintime · 19/02/2025 20:51

Leigh?

CalliopePlantain · 19/02/2025 20:51

Alma of the two. Although if it were Elizabeth that would be my choice.

Norah?
Ailsa?

BaMamma · 19/02/2025 20:55

No-one has said Betty?!

Elizabeth could be shortened to Eliza or Betty or Beth or Liz...

Lemonademoney · 19/02/2025 20:57

I love the name Esther - husband vetoed it but it’s still an absolute favourite of mine

Mumofgirls2017 · 19/02/2025 21:58

Eliza 🥰

BreezyAquaCrow · 19/02/2025 22:01

There are twins in my daughter’s class called Frank & Alice. I think those names go together well.

Kahless · 19/02/2025 22:02

Betty, Doris, Ethel

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 20/02/2025 01:57

Eliza of the two I think - retro/hipster cool “nickname” style like Frank. Although if Frank is something longer on his BC then I’d go for Elizabeth (nn Eliza) - but if not, then Eliza works well.

Eliza is lovely with Frank. Alma seems more unusual if that’s your thing though.
