Not if shes born in Spring!

No, sorry, Don't like it.

cheesesarnie · 06/05/2008 11:25

not sure.
what else you got?

MrsBadger · 06/05/2008 11:25

too hippy for me, but I am a dullard traditionalist of the Emma / Alice / Rose persuasion

Thankyouandgoodnight · 06/05/2008 11:25

She would be born in the summer.....!
Why don't you like it? (not saying you should or anything, just interested).

Pinkjenny · 06/05/2008 11:26

I really like it. I really like Summer too. Not the season, the name.

Disenchanted · 06/05/2008 11:26

Because its a season. And no, I don't like the name Summer either.

Thankyouandgoodnight · 06/05/2008 11:27

We don't go for traditional but don't want ultra hippy either. Bog standard middle class city folk here.

Eden is another contender but PFB has a very soft name and our surname is quite harsh, so worried Eden may be a bit hard though think it would suit an older child/ adult but maybe not a newborn.

i dont think its 'hippy' i think its bit dull(sorry sorry sorry!)my childrens names are bit boring (traditional)though!

Thankyouandgoodnight · 06/05/2008 11:28

I don't like the name Summer either, or Spring. Winter is kind of funky but we couldn't go for that as it would clash

cheesesarnie · 06/05/2008 11:29

like eden.i know an ebren too thats sweet

mindalina · 06/05/2008 11:29

As long as your surname isn't Forecast it'll probably be fine

I don't like it. It conjures up images of an American Beauty Queen.

MrsBadger · 06/05/2008 11:35

Eden is actually rather lovely

remember she'll be an 'older child / adult' for an awful lot longer than she'll be a newborn

GooseyLoosey · 06/05/2008 11:35

I like the sound of it, but if I were a teacher, I think I would expect you to turn up in a kaftan to parents' evening.

rosealbie · 06/05/2008 11:36

My dd goes to pre-school with a little boy called Autumn. I quite like the name.

Thankyouandgoodnight · 06/05/2008 11:38

Do you think Autumn would work for an adult in business (if that's where they ended up??)?

OP posts:
mrsruffallo · 06/05/2008 11:40

Whats wrong with wearing a kaftan to parents' evening?

southeastastra · 06/05/2008 11:41

i like it, there's an actress in mad men called january jones. it's super cool without being cheesy

MrsBadger · 06/05/2008 11:42

'And may I introduce Autumn Cooper, our managing director'

mrsruffallo · 06/05/2008 11:43

Oh come on, Badger, you don't choose a name for how it will sound in the boardroom do you?

schneebly · 06/05/2008 11:44

I think it would work in the 'adult business'

That isnt what you meant though is it!

Sorry - the name itself is quite sweet but is a little 'American stripper' sounding.
