Name for baby girl

SomeEnchantedEvening18 · 20/01/2025 06:30

Due a baby girl in April. We have a narrowed down list and would love some opinions on our current top two:

Marnie
Cassie

Would also welcome some other suggestions!

We have a 3 syllable surname so are leaning more towards 2 syllable first names to make sure it's not too much of a mouthful.

Thanks!

Marnie & Cassie are both beautiful names.

Love them both! I’d probably go Cassie as seems more unusual, but well known. I don’t like Cassandra though.

I prefer Marnie

SallyWD · 20/01/2025 07:54

Not keen on Marnie. To me Cassie sounds like a nickname for Cassandra or something. I love Cassia.

Moreteaandchocolate · 20/01/2025 08:13

I like both. I think Cassie is my favourite, just because I haven’t heard Marnie as a standalone name before (but I’m sure it would grow on me!).

Cassia - that's pretty.

Not keen on Marnie x

Chuchoter · 20/01/2025 20:16

Marnie will always remind me of one of my favourite films and not many can live up to Tippi's beauty in that film!

Cassie is a love name.

Both are lovely names. I know one of each :)

I'd pick Marnie I think but then, my daughter is a Marcie so I think I lean towards 'mar' sounds.

I like both. Cassie short for Cassandra, and Marnie reminds me of a book I read as a child: "When Marnie was There".

I don’t like Marnie at all, I’m afraid.

What about:
