We have a Freddie (Frederick, sometimes he's Fred). Expecting another boy. Stumped for names! Single syllable surname. We like

Oliver
Jack
Myles
Dylan
George

But looking for inspiration because none of them seem right!

I like Oliver and George best from your list, and I think they fit quite well with Freddie too.

I like Jack and Dylan best from your list.

Freddie and George is gorgeous but Fred and George are the Weasley twins in Harry Potter if that bothers you?!

Oliver is massively overused across the age groups around me.

I also like Freddie and

The younger Freddie’s I’ve met over the years have brother’s called Charlie or Harry (the older ones I know have brothers called Percival, Graham, or John but not sure that’s your taste 🤣 - although personally I do really like classic John). Otherwise I love your suggestion of Jack and would add on similar style Max too.

Albert, Alexander, George, Alistair, Robert, William

I know 4 different families in different parts of the UK who all have a Freddie and a Max. And all the Freddie’s are the older of the 2. So they seem to go well together!

Freddie and George or Freddie and Jack sound good together IMO

tangobravo · 10/01/2025 19:32

Some great suggestions thanks so much! The Fred and George Weasley association doesn't bother me at all (but might it bother my boys...??)
