Finally getting there with names! But which one

finally narrowing it down to baby boy names;

Zachary or Caleb

I prefer Zachary but Caleb is nice too.

I don't like the short forms of Zachary at all - Zack, Zac, Zach all sound like Sack 💰and unfinished.

Caleb is cool and unlikely to be shortened!

Slightly prefer Zachary if pushed, but it might depend on how either sounds with your surname (which of course we won't know).

Zachary is great, I'm not a fan of Caleb, it sounds a bit evil.

It’s really likely that Zachary will be Zach once he’s older, do you like that as much? Whereas Caleb is less likely to be shortened (although I have once heard Cal, like in East of Eden).

They are both pleasant, solid choices, but I think I edge slightly towards Caleb as in general I’m less fond of names which end in the “ee” sound.

That is true, the only thing I can think of with Caleb getting shortened is Cal

I have a Caleb so I’m biased but Zachary is nice too. :) I sometimes call him Cal which I love
