was chatting to a friend today who told me she thinks that when choosing a baby's name you have to ask yourself whether it works in these 3 sentences:

"Can X come out to play?"

"Does X deserve a promotion?"

"I love you, X"

i can sort of see where she's coming from, so i thought i'd share!

tesco test for me, if I'd be too embarassed to shout it down an aisle in tesco then it just doesn't work

flowerybeanbag · 29/04/2008 19:00

DH's test is it must work as a first name/surname combo both for a newsreader and a pop star.

K999 · 29/04/2008 19:01

Dp thinks that you must be able to shout...."X come in for your tea!!"

beforesunrise · 29/04/2008 19:06

well Not sure that Tia'ami sounds like royalty and no amount of Princessing it will help!

(heard a lady shout "Shakira, come here darling" in M&S and felt embarrassed on her behalf!)
