Thought I’d start a thread about what image springs to mind when you hear the following names:

Simon - Simon says play, I think of middle age man on tv
Taylor - Taylor Swift
Hunter - American name, next association is deer
Lorraine - the region of Lorraine in Germany
Sophie - books and tv with Sophie as character
Matilda - the Matilda book, the illustrations of the witches in Roald Dahl books
Geoff - the student from university also I think of men in suits
Catherine - Catherine the Great also other characters from books
Isadora - the 1800s, the occult, the roaring twenties
Ariadne - the spider myth (Greek)
Rowan - I think of mobile game which I'm currently thinking, next association (and older) Irish druids during 500-900s, I think of grey woods.

Simon- A 44 year old married man with 4 children. He lives in a huge home in the country and travels in to work or wfh. Everyone thinks he has the perfect life but he is secretly having an affair with a younger woman at work. He is conscious of his flabby belly and had started to lose weight and is wearing expensive aftershave but denies this when his wife queries him. He has a golden Labrador.
Taylor- Taylor is a 19 year old lanky male. He is spotty and sick and tired of being thought of as female. He pretends he doesn’t like Taylor Swift but secretly fancies her.

Hunter- Hunter has long blond hair and is very outdoorsy and athletic. He loves to meander about in nature and is very good with animals. He dreams of working at an animal sanctuary in Tibet.
Lorraine- Lorraine is almost 60. She wears purple and dyes her hair. She wears lots of jewellery and has a lot of ‘stuff’ in her house. She has been married twice and now lives alone with her cats.
Sophie- Sophie is a bit of a dreamer. She would love to be an actress but has had to settle for working for an insurance company constantly answering calls.
Matilda- Matilda is feisty. She lives in a clean, neutral coloured apartment in the city. She travels in to work and wears flat shoes and a nice wool coat.
Geoff- Geoff is 70. He is a retired librarian. He thinks he is being helpful but gets on his wife’s nerves.
Catherine- Catherine is very high up in her executive role. She is tall with dark hair. She would like children one day but hasn’t found the right man yet. She drives a powerful car and travels a lot.
Isadora- Isadora is married with 2 children. She is thin and willowy and so too are her husband and children. She is vegetarian and wears ethical clothes.
Ariadne- Ariadne has a rich father. He showers her with gifts due to the guilt he feels after divorcing her mother and moving in with another woman. Ariadne hates most people and does not have a partner, although she has lots of admirers.
Rowan- Rowan is a bit of a wet fish. He isn’t academic and didn’t do very well at school. Despite this he is trying hard as an apprentice mechanic. He has yet to tell his parents, who he lives with, that his girlfriend is pregnant.

Simon. Sensible...has a rock solid pension plan in place.

Hunter floppy hair, outdoorsy

Lorraine. Middle aged, dependable

Sophie. Sweet

Matilda. Middle class

Geoff. Knows a few things about fixing cars

Catherine was good at school

Isadora interests include tarot card reading

Ariadne. Cosmopolitan and attractive

Rowan. Literally nothing comes to mind.

I find Rowan just the blandest name ever. I can't like or dislike it. It's just a bit of a nothing name

Simon- Married to Lorraine, wondering ifhis pension is going to stretch as he approaches retirement

Hunter- Simon & lorraines new neighbour, young executive type- everything Simon recalls he once was

Lorraine married to simon, semi retired, enjoys looking after grandkids

Matilda, grandaughter to S&L, goes to private school Rides at the weekend

Geoff, S&L's other neighbour, retired awhile ago, plays golf and is a freemason

Catherine, Hunters significant other, into aromatherapy & Yoga, works in banking

Isadora, Lorraines friend, bit eccentric, Wears stout shoes and a duffle coat

Ariadne Matildas Friend, also privately educated, has own pony and a nanny

Rowan S&L's son, Married to Sophie who he met at Uni Got a good degree but works as a teacher

Sophie: DOE. But almost any "type" could be called Sophie.
Matilda: small, feisty mouse
Geoff: the Red Wedding
Catherine: POW
Isadora: death by scarf
Ariadne: misunderstood Cretan princess
