I met a little girl the other day. And her name was Gaia. I just thought it was so cute and unusual. What do you think? It's another word for Earth.

I know a little Gaia too, it's lovely

Lallydallydune · 24/11/2024 16:06

It's so sweet isn't it.

Beautiful

SprigatitoYouAndIKnow · 24/11/2024 16:35

Love the meaning, don't really like the sound.

Orphlids · 24/11/2024 16:37

Love it, love it. It was on our shortlist, and I often wish we’d used it. Would love to meet a Gaia, I bet she’d be wonderful!

Emma Thompson and Greg Wise's daughter is called Gaia.

FayCarew · 24/11/2024 17:22

It's pretty. Marred slightly by Maya being so popular.

Moreteaandchocolate · 24/11/2024 17:28

Lovely! ☺️

massistar · 24/11/2024 17:36

I love it. Was on our list for DD. ☺️

I never know how it's pronounced.

Guy-ah or Gay-ah or something else?

I would pronounce it

Guy - ah

I really dislike it. To me it's akin to calling your child Eden or Heaven or a name of that ilk. It's just very aggrandising or something.

CookieMonster28 · 24/11/2024 18:01

Not my taste and I usually like unusual names!

Snowxmas · 24/11/2024 18:02

I like it.

I've met an Eden and a Heaven too!.

I liked Eden. It really suited her.

In my opinion , I thought Heaven seemed a bit much on the woman that I met

The woman that I met called Heaven was a DJ and music artist.

So her name is probably really cool in that area , and helped her stand put.

And very possibly not her actual name?

And very possibly not her actual name?

It was her real name.

She told me.

Her mother liked angelic names.

She told me that her mother was either going to call her "Angel" or "Heaven".

And she decided on Heaven.

Fair enough!

Prisonpillow · 24/11/2024 18:40

I love it.

massistar · 26/11/2024 09:50

It's a pretty common name in Italy by the way. Not at all considered like Heaven there.

I think it’s a bit aggrandising as well. More like calling your child ‘Ancestral Earth Mother’.

It’s also a yoga/meditation video streaming site.

Jeschara · 29/11/2024 18:56

I really like it.

needhelpwiththisplease · 29/11/2024 18:57

Lovely name with a lovely meaning

Firsttimebabymummy · 30/11/2024 14:26

Really like it!
