Baby boy name help!

I had my second son just over 2 weeks ago and he still hasn’t got a name! Middle name will either be Theodore or James. Please help me with my list! I’d love it go well with his big brothers name, Caleb Thomas. Joel Theodore is currently the front runner. Which name combo do you think goes best? I’m terrible with big decisions!

Caleb and Jacob is lovely.
I love Joel, too. ( my ds was Joel for the first hour of his life, but we changed it ).

I like Caspian, Dylan, Jacob and Joel the best. I would choose Caspian overall, but Joel is nice as well.

Joel Theodore is lovely! I also love Dylan James or Jacob Theodore.

Joel is great, I only know one.

Gabriel is also a beautiful name.

Caleb and Jacob are a bit too samey for my ear.

I love super timeless James - so despite it being the ultimate generic middle name, I’d go for it over Theodore as it’s a lovely classic match with gorgeous Thomas. I’m afraid that while Theo sounds cool, I’ve never got the love for Theodore.

I also think Caleb was a lovely choice, and in terms of a style match for first names, of your picks I think Ezra fits best - another newly popular/rediscovered, short, simple Biblical gem like Caleb. Jacob is more classic but also works really well imo and they don’t sound too samey to my ear as the first syllable is very different (plus “Cal and Jake” sound cool ) - though you couldn’t have Jacob James as they are the same name 🤣 so that one would have to be Jacob Theodore.

Micah is also works fine, but for some reason not as much my personal taste. And although it’s not Biblical I do think Dylan fits very well style wise too with Caleb.

Joel feels a bit more retro Biblical compared to Caleb somehow? And Gabriel a bit elegant/fancy in comparison, as do Phineas and Caspian (my personal fave of all your picks, but I’m wary of same initials for same sex siblings, plus it’s a different style imo).

I would go for Ezra James

That's my fav combo from what you have.

I like Jacob, but it's too similar to Caleb I think.
Ezra James is nice too.
Not keen on the others.

Joel - ok but a bit too OT with Caleb, as are the following:
Gabriel - Cay & Gay
Jacob - Cay and Jay.
Micah - not keen

Caspian - a bit matchy with Caleb
Phineas - ok but will be Finn/Phin
Dylan - OK for a Welsh 60-yr old. 'dillun' is horrible.

I don't like Theodore at all.
James is nice but is the current go to middle name for boys. I also like John.
I like Caleb and Thomas.

Jacob would be my first choice but Joel is a close second. I think Theodore matches better with both of them.

Ezra and Dylan are ok but the others really aren't to my taste.

Caleb and Jacob really sound like brothers. Joel goes nicely too though.

Not on your list but I think Caleb and Toby sound really nice together. It was the first name that came to my head when I read your DS is called Caleb!

I really love Gabriel, Joel and Jacob. In fact my DS is one of these! Theodore is lovely too. They are gorgeous names. I love Sebastian too.

Not keen on Phineas although it's not terrible. The only one from your list that I wouldn't use is Dylan - I know too many spaniels called Dylan.

Not a fan of Joel but I like Joseph (Joe)
