Name for number three!

We are struggling with naming baby three! It’s our second girl - we have a Macsen and a Ottie. So no real ‘theme’ I can carry on!

Names on my list:

Alanna
Lana (but dismissed because of the whole anal backward thing)
Amaia (no Spanish connection so not sure if we can use)
Leila
Alaina

Any thoughts on the above or suggestions welcome!

Really like Leila from you list! I've only met one and she was a lovely, pretty girl.

The others aren't quite to my taste, although Alanna is quite nice.

I like all your other options too, and I don’t think you need to be Spanish to use Amaia (I’ve only seen it spelt Amaya before and I think I prefer that spelling as it’s less likely to get confused with Amalia / Amelia etc at first glance).

Alaina has the option of the pretty nn Lainey, which I like and I don’t know anyone with the name, so it’s nice and unusual like your other children’s names.

Is Alanna said Al- anna, or Al- ahna? I haven’t seen it spelt this way before?

I’d say Alanna as Al-ahna, is it usually spelt Alana?

Wish I didn’t have the anal backwards thing in my head - but a friend said there are a lot of only fans/ adult entertainers using that name and it’s talked about at high school age and it’s got stuck in my head!

Unfortunately I ruled out Lana for the same reason....Alana is nice though, as is Alara

If you especially like Lana there’s nothing stopping you from spelling in Larna.

Yes, Alana is usually spelt this way. It's my favourite on your list. I'd avoid Lana like the plague though, kids can be cruel.

Elora has a similar vibe to your list, and Lyra. Personally I prefer Lara to Alara, which is similar to Lana without the teasing potential.

If you like Selena there's also Serena, which I personally prefer.

Similar those suggested, I love Pilar which is Spanish of course. Also possibly Inez.
