Uninspiring

Moreteaandchocolate · 23/10/2024 16:00

Love it! The perfect combination of familiar but not overused or “out there” imo!

MistyF · 23/10/2024 16:04

I prefer Lewis to Louis, but I also love Louise for girl. Would not use them together.

BarbaraHoward · 23/10/2024 16:06

I don't love it. I'd probably think you're a Lewis Hamilton fan, but that's probably my own F1 obsession showing.

Firsttimebabymummy · 23/10/2024 16:11

I really like Lewis!

Fontainebleau007 · 23/10/2024 16:12

I like it. Apparently I would have been called Lewis if I was a boy.

VioletCrawleyForever · 23/10/2024 16:12

Great, traditional Scottish name.

Love it.

Some people pronounce Louis as Lewis but generally Louis is pronounced Louie so different name to Lewis.

YourFunMember · 23/10/2024 17:11

I would have called my son Lewis, if I’d had one.

BoleynMemories13 · 23/10/2024 21:43

I quite like Lewis. It's well known but not overly popular these days.

Nap1983 · 23/10/2024 21:45

I like it, a good Scottish name!

Fiestytiger · 24/10/2024 07:31

I think of it as a classic name. I nearly used it as a middle name.

DitzyDerbyBabe86 · 24/10/2024 07:33

I think it’s the ‘dean’ of its time, had its day and not classic.

Waterboatlass · 24/10/2024 07:38

I like it! Fresher currently than Louis although that's nice too.

Atishooo · 24/10/2024 19:38

Not a fan of it personally, feels overused, there seem to be a lot of them at school. But bland.

KirstenBlest · 24/10/2024 19:50

It's fine. Had a bit of a moment about 25 yrs ago.
Only issue is that some people seem to think that Louis is pronounced Lewis.

WinnieMaudPeggy · 24/10/2024 19:54

A very popular name up in our corner of Scotland. It was on my boy list. My top boy name was Harris which is an even more stunning island, IMO!

Jolenepleasetakeawaymyman · 24/10/2024 20:09

Love, love, love it. If you love it them use it. I think it has a lovely sound and look written down.

DramaAlpaca · 24/10/2024 20:24

I've always liked Lewis. Couldn't use it though.

goldielockss · 24/10/2024 20:38

I also like it. Didn't have a boy but i have always liked it (except if I had had boys I would have probably gone with Luke or Zachary!)

CuppaTeaNeeded · 24/10/2024 20:46

I have one. 18 now and aged well.

Randomly, he was the only one in his year group in his three class intake at primary but then joined a 7 a side football team and there was four of them 🤣

weebarra · 24/10/2024 20:58

Popular here in central Scotland. I know lots of various ages, very classic name.

SingingSands · 24/10/2024 21:20

Popular Scottish boys name, I've always liked it.

moonshinepoursthroughmywindow · 01/11/2024 21:22

I like rather than dislike it, but it was so very popular when my DC (now in their late 20s) were at school, I got a bit bored with it after a while. Now it's not quite so common it would be refreshing to hear of a little one.
