Lovely

NoKnickerElastic · 22/10/2024 20:46

Please don't. What about Juno?

Ellmau · 22/10/2024 20:46

I'm not keen.

Mum5net · 22/10/2024 20:47

Ginnie would be better

Comedycook · 22/10/2024 20:47

Try hard

urbanbuddha · 22/10/2024 20:47

I like it.

motleymop · 22/10/2024 20:47

I think it's an odd name for a human.

RareMaker · 22/10/2024 20:48

My cats name

EvelynBeatrice · 22/10/2024 20:48

I like it. Nice abbreviations too.

I’m not keen on Ginnie which is used as an abbreviation for vagina in some quarters!

Pinkruler · 22/10/2024 20:50

I like it - nn June.
This is the name of a character in Yellowface tho - not a v sympathetic character.

marshmallowfinder · 22/10/2024 20:52

I do like it, but the 'nipper' sound does put me off.

Killingoffmyflowersonebyone · 22/10/2024 20:57

Juniper berries smell a bit funky - like pickles and alcohol. Why name a child that?

Juno is a lovely name. But I know two dogs and a duck called Juno…

NormaSnickers · 22/10/2024 21:00

I worked with a Juniper, she was known as Juni. I think that’s quite nice as a shortening.

Firsttimebabymummy · 22/10/2024 21:06

It's not one of my favourites but I like it

Prefer June

shoopshoopdedoo · 22/10/2024 21:06

Hmm. Honestly, it seems like one of South East London’s favourite middle-class-but-artsy names. It does sound quite nice and the toddlers I’ve met are cute. But I’d personally avoid it.

Moreteaandchocolate · 22/10/2024 21:14

I agree with the pp’s “middle class but artsy” description above! I do love Junie though - June nn Junie maybe?

StressedQueen · 22/10/2024 21:41

So pretty in my opinion!

Georgie743 · 22/10/2024 21:42

Love it! And love all the nickname options - Juni, Juno, June.

Mumofgirls2017 · 22/10/2024 21:45

Absolutely love it 😊

NashvilleQueen · 22/10/2024 21:47

For a boy or girl?

It reminds of this song (and I wouldn't be able to stop myself singing it to them)

Agree

MistyF · 23/10/2024 08:29

I like it very much but prefer Junia

stormwarrierridesthewaves · 23/10/2024 08:54

I always had an idea in my head of naming a daughter Juniper Wren to honour a family name - Jennifer. (Wren being the middle name, not hyphenated).

The song Jennifer Juniper, and her nickname Jenny Wren.

Jollyjoy · 23/10/2024 08:57

I met a sweet little Juniper this year and her mum said she picked it because Juniper is a tree that can thrive in harsh conditions, I thought that was nice. I get the ‘middle class try hard’ vibes a little too but June and Juni are lovely shortening’s.

Carouselfish · 23/10/2024 10:04

I like.it a lot. Not frilly. Cool kid. Similar feel to Scout, Indie etc.
