Baby due next week, which do you prefer?
Will probably give her longer versions on BC Annabel or Charlotte. Thanks

I like Charlotte better than Annabel, and like Lottie better than Annie.

shoopshoopdedoo · 23/09/2024 18:36

I like both, but I think I’d pick Annie

VoteLabour · 23/09/2024 18:41

I prefer Charlotte to Annabel, but I much prefer Annie over Lottie.
I'd put Annie or Ann/Anne on the BC.

Similar to Lottie but I really like it: Hattie short for Harriet.

Snoopystick · 23/09/2024 19:00

Annie is lovely. Not keen on Annabel. Charlotte / Lottie is ok, prefer Annie though.

Moreteaandchocolate · 23/09/2024 19:12

I like Annabel nn Annie best. Lovely name, and she’s got the options of Anna / Bel if wanted when she’s older too.

Charlotte is a gorgeous classic, and I like Lottie for a child, but some of the teen Charlottes choose to go by Charlie, which I’m less keen on personally.

Edited to add - I know a girl who is Annie on the bc, so that’s another option. Or Anna nn Annie.

TheCultureHusks · 23/09/2024 19:13

Annie but with Anna on the bc

Button28384738 · 23/09/2024 19:45

I prefer Charlotte/Lottie

Agree with all of this, though I'd also go Anna on BC.

I also love Harriet/Hattie

Thequeenofwishfulthinking · 23/09/2024 19:46

Annie definitely.

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 23/09/2024 20:08

Lottie.

Ooh I’ve changed my mind to copy this!! I prefer Annie to Lottie but I’m not fussed on Annabel. So this would be ideal!

Firsttimebabymummy · 23/09/2024 20:55

Just Anna if that was a choice, Nn Annie

Otherwise Charlotte

Same here!!!

AgainandagainandagainSS · 23/09/2024 20:57

Why do they need juvenile ‘ie’ names? Anne/Charlotte are such beautiful names.

17caterpillars1mouse · 23/09/2024 20:59

Annabel nn Annie

I have young children (8,5 & baby) and haven't come across a single Annabel or Annie but know of loads of Charlotte's and Lottie's.

Atishooo · 23/09/2024 21:06

I prefer Annabel only because I know so many Charlottes!

VoteLabour · 23/09/2024 23:02

If you call her Annabel, she might not always want to be Annie. She might end up being Anna or Bel.

UnityB · 23/09/2024 23:19

I prefer Annie.

But I don't like Annabel so I'd use Annika instead- love that name! Or Anya.

Daisybuttercup12345 · 23/09/2024 23:21

Charlotte Anne is very pretty.

whydoihavetowork · 23/09/2024 23:28

Annabel. Its meaning is grace and beauty - what more could you want!
Lottie - sounds a bit horsey. Prefer Charlie personally for Charlotte.
Annie has the cute factor and Annabel the sophisticated but also opens up to Belle/Bella.

TribeofFfive · 23/09/2024 23:34

Please not Annie. I always loved the name, but.. as the elder sister of an Annie who spent ages 12-17 being Fanny Annie.. it’s not worth it.

My name is Annie. Never been called Fanny Annie! Love both OP. Great choices.

toastofthetown · 24/09/2024 09:43

She might decide later on that she doesn’t like Annie/Lottie if you use longer version on the birth certificate so it might be worth considering if you prefer Charl/Charlie/Charlotte or Anna/Belle/Annabel, as well as the diminutives you like

sel2223 · 24/09/2024 14:31

Tough one as I prefer Annie to Lottie but Charlotte to Annabel!

AutumnColours9 · 24/09/2024 22:45

Annie
