Girl names to go with middle name Faye

We want to give our daughter my mum's name (Faye) as her middle name, but not all names sound right with it as it's just one syllable so it doesn't always flow. I'm lacking inspiration, please give me your suggestions!

If I’d had another girl she’d have been Imogen Faye.

cheapskatemum · 18/09/2024 22:13

My first thought was Adriana Faye

Just pick a first name you like that goes ok with the surname. The only names that don't go are ones like May, Kay and Freya.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! @VoteLabour May Faye and Kay Faye made me laugh!

So far I'm liking Iris Faye, Imogen Faye and Eleanor Faye.

Out of interest, what do people think of the spelling Elena instead of Eleanor?

Elena has several pronunciations and I think 'El-ain-a' is getting popular. Imogen Faye and Eleanor Faye are both very nice.

Helena might be a good alternative.

Imogen is by far my favourite from these. Lovely name that is uncommon but recognised.

Like the suggestion of Helena above too.

Iris reminds me of a child who was always called Virus Iris at school. And theres tonnes of Elle/ Ellies.

I've only ever known one Imogen (Immie) and she was lovely.

In my accent, Elena and Eleanor don't sound alike at all.

Elena would be El-AIN-a and Eleanor would be EL-uh-nur. I have a feeling there are many different pronunciations of Elena.

I think Imogen Faye sounds fabulous.

VoteLabour · 19/09/2024 18:53

Mine neither. I'd say Elena as El-EN-a, but as pp El-AIN-a is getting popular.
Elena and Eleanor may end up being Ellie.
