searching for girl names I might have overlooked

I like a bunch of girl names but can’t settle on one. I’m into Caroline, Laura, Elizabeth, Lucy, Anna, and Maria. Got any other suggestions I might like? I prefer safe, traditional names, perhaps due to my own outlandish name. Can't find one I LOVE...are you supposed to love the name?

Is Christina a strange choice if you’re not religious? I have a relative named Christine I'd like to honor but I'm unsure if that's odd

Not at all. I don't see it as religious and I really like the name. I know one who goes by Chrissy.

Christina is lovely, and I doubt that all the Christophers are religious. I prefer Tina as a diminutive but there's no reason why Chris, Christie, Chrissy or Kitty couldn't be used. As a bit of a wildcard, you could shorten it to Kizzy.

Christina religious? No, I wouldn't think that at all.
If anything I would think of Maria as more religious that Christina with the Catholic connections but it's still not a particularly 'religious' name

I really like PPs suggestion of Catherine - it's a name that has grown on me a lot recently. Lots of potential diminutives too.

Christina is gorgeous. I don’t think of it as particularly religious and even if it were it’s still fine to use.

There’s a Laura at my children’s primary school. It’s so nice to hear among the sea of Evies and Amelia’s and Olivia’s.

Call your daughter Maria Christina, then dive into the RCIA program, have her baptised, and enroll her in a quaint village Christian school for a wonderful start in life. Simple, really! 😉

Honestly, Christina isn’t any more religious than Maria. Now, Elizabeth—there’s a biblical name for you!

I adore all the names you’ve mentioned and would happily throw Catherine, Diana, Louisa, Jane and Alice into the mix.

Of that lot I’d go for Caroline - It’s very elegant and underused and Callie is a nice nn.

Maria and Christina are both nice enough, but I don’t like Chris personally. If anything Maria comes across as more religious - but they are both used by all sorts of people so I wouldn’t worry about that.

Elizabeth, Anna and Lucy (and their variations) are all being overdone at the moment. Laura isn’t, but it’s very similar to the very overdone Lyra/Lara/Luna/Lola/Leila/Lena
