Austin vs Nathaniel

Just that…

Baby due in a few weeks and still can’t decide between the two.

Nathaniel will be NN Nate
Baby will be a brother to Miles.

I'd do Nate as a standalone name. Nathaniel with its three syllables is drawn out and clunky, so different to Nate. Wouldn't worry about how the sibling names go together, neither clashes with Miles, but if Nate doesn't stick, Nathaniel is far more of a mouthful.

Austin is lovely too. Powers won't be a reference you'd need to worry about for that generation! You obviously have to consider which goes better with the surname.

I like Miles but Nathaniel is too cumbersome and reminds me of the music of .. War of the World.
I've always like Nathan more than Nate.

Austin seems better.
I love Austin Powers.

Nathaniel is one of my favourite names. Not a fan of Austin. Associate it with old men but maybe it's making a comeback.

Nathaniel just makes me think 'But Daniel is so much nicer". It's fine but it sounds a bit whiny in full and I don't like Nate.
