People have been know to laugh when I tell them my little girls name and I dont know why. I love it and she loves it. She is called Elaine and she is four. People also often think they have missed heard it and call her Elanor or Elizabeth and once Jazmin(?!) so what do you honestky think of it? Is it stupid?

Drew Barrymore isn't ANdrew Barrymore -- Drew is a family surname on her father's side (good grief, I am so sad for knowing that...)

It is old fashioned, I bet in 10 years time it will be popular again!

Sorry that wasn't meant to be a criticism - it is old fashioned, as are a lot of names which are becoming more popular!

Its a very pretty name and I know a very lovely adult Elaine.

I think it's okay. Fairly uncommon though at 1900 last year in the rankings in the name stats.
