Due in one week, boys name is all sorted but for a girl we are torn between..
Anya
Sadie
Lois

All names flow nicely with our surname, which is your favourite?

I don’t like Lois at all, never have.

This is what I did when I could choose. Waited till I actually met them and then it was much easier to decide what suited.

Wonder Woman's name is Diana. Lois is Superman's girlfriend.

I like Sadie best.

Anya by far for me - I see it as a kind of “cooler” European version of classic Anna.

Sadie is quite trendy feeling imo and I’ve personally never liked the harsher sound of Lois.

Though weirdly I just remembered I do know of an Anya and Lois sibset from childhood- so clearly they have similar style/ vibes to others as well as yourself OP!

I'm surprised you find Lois harsh - to me it's a very soft sounding name!

Anya- easy favourite. Sadie and Lois I find plain and dated.

@MelodyMalone , me too. I'd put it in the same category as Leah or Esther. A gentle-sounding biblical name.

It’s the “is” - ending, quite a hissy sound to me (I feel the same about Phyllis or even otherwise lovely Iris) . I find the sound is more softened in longer names (Melissa, Larissa etc). But in a 2 syllable one, there’s not so much to hide it.

I actually echo @Elyalbert , Sadie really doesn't have a nice sound or connotations, in French basically is the exact word for sadist

I thought it was sadique in French, it doesn't really sound the same as the a is pronounced differently.
