Help with baby names PLEASE!!

Really struggling with what to name our 3rd daughter. We already have two girls who are called Lyla Hermione and Isabelle Anne (Belle). Our surname begins with H and is one syllable and soft sounding. Here are our ideas for 3rd DD's first name.

Matilda - We would like her to just be the full name and not be a Matty or a Tilly so not sure if that would be an issue.
Josephine - Nickname Josie.
Astrid
Clara
Freya

Middle name would be Bow or Rose but open to any suggestions to be honest.

Please give me more suggestions for first names if you have any!

Clara Bowe was a famous actress from the dawn of cinema. I don't think you could use Bow as a middle name, and Clara Rose sounds clunky (too many Rs running together). But I like Clara a lot with your other names.

The others I like from your list are Matilda and Josephine. Either one would be lovely.

Clara Rose fits the sibset perfectly! Freya would also go well. Matilda would too, but I'm not sure if you'll be able to avoid a nickname forever (she may want to shorten it herself when she's older) so that's probably out if you're not keen on the usual short forms.

I like all of your first name choices, Matilda or Clara are probably my favourites but it depends what vowel your surname has I think - eg I don’t think Matilda Hill sounds good or Freya Hay for example, it’s better without the repeated vowel.

Definitely go for Rose for the middle name - Bow is awful.

Love Clara, Freya or Josie (Josephine) with your girls names! I think Matilda will get shortened , particularly in secondary school.

I like Clara and Josephine. Rose is every other girl’s middle name, it’s been done to death. Bow is terrible.

Thanks for the help - we are leaning towards Clara but no idea what middle name. Feel a bit silly for not thinking of Clara Bow and Clara Rose doesn't sound right to me for some reason.

We still do love Astrid and Josephine (Josie) though so not completely certain.Ruled off Matilda and Freya.

From the ideas here, I love Juliet, Jasmine and Phoebe so they are going on the list!

Please help with some possible middle names although I still do love Rose and Bow quite a lot.

I like Jasmine Grace best of your options just because then you have 3 names with different endings, rather than 2 daughters with the same a ending. However both are lovely. Good luck!

Clara Josephine, it flows really well.

Grace is the other middle name that’s been done to death. All girls have Rose/Grace/May. So overused.

While Juliet is one of my favourite girls names - so I would have gone for that personally, I do think Clara Josephine is lovely and works really well with your other daughter’s names. The repeated L sounds in each of the girls names links them nicely, but without them sounding too similar.

Jasmine Grace is fine but it doesn’t sound as elegant/special somehow - maybe because Grace, Rose or May are every other girls middle name these days where as names like Josephine, Hermione etc stand out more.
