Hey, feel like I've completed the internet 10 times over and still can't find a boys name I like. I'm looking for something a bit out there but not totally rogue. Something potentially naturey, earthy/ hippyish/ dudeish and I like the sound of ie or y on the end. All the names I found so far seem to be nick names but the full version I really don't like. Suggestions welcome, thank you :)

Roscoe. Listen to the lyrics in the song by Midlake, it might help you decide.

Oakley is a sunglasses/ski goggles brand. It’s like calling him RayBan

Soren? I loved the name and strongly considered if for ds..However didn't love the connotations in Norwegian as we have Norwegian heritage. But tbh tink I overthought it really.

Why can't a nickname be their full name?

What's your or your partners cultural heritage? Can you get something with meaning from that?

Lachlan is a great name for a boy. If I wasn't a decade too old, and done, I'd go for that one!

We're both British and lots of the names I like have Mediterranean vibes. We'll likely have have a light skinned, freckly, ginger boy so not sure if he could pull it off! 😂

This was the girls name I had lined up! I guess it's gender neutral. Thanks

It can I guess, I just wanted to give them a choice if they wanted something a little more formal later in life. I like Rudy but Ruldoph, Ziggy but not sigfreud and Reggie but not Reginald!

Oh what a coincidence - definitely neutral as you say - lovely for a girl though hadn’t thought of it that way round.

That's funny, I'd only known it as a girls name :) thank you 😊
