Hey, feel like I've completed the internet 10 times over and still can't find a boys name I like. I'm looking for something a bit out there but not totally rogue. Something potentially naturey, earthy/ hippyish/ dudeish and I like the sound of ie or y on the end. All the names I found so far seem to be nick names but the full version I really don't like. Suggestions welcome, thank you :)

Oooh I actually really like Oakley- hadn't considered it before. Thank you :)

I'd be wary of using that - Oakley is one of the fastest rising boys names, so very much gives off trendy Vs nature-y IMO

I quite like Alder as a tree name, and it doesn't feel quite as faddy.

Rowan is a really good option. It will take your little man from nappies to the school playground to the board room or the building site. I also like Raif because it is a medieval form of Ralph.

The author of Eat, Pray, FML (Gabrielle Stone) has a little boy named Stone. I thought it was a cute name

My brother's step sons had incredibly hippy names (Stor m and T hyme). And refused to go to secondary school until they were allowed to change them......
