DS would be known day to day by Frank, would you just name him Frank or go for a longer version for the BC?
personally Franklin has a different feel to Frank but I do know of Francis being shortened to Frank

please help my son is due tomorrow and we cannot decide

Use just Frank.

I would use longer name, but I would use longer name in day to day life just as same as nickname, otherwise why bother.
If you don't plan to use longer name ever, don't use longer name just for sake of it.

Francis is so wet, I really don’t like it. Frank is ok, there’s a Frankie in my DC’s year at school.

@AngelDelightButNotStrawberry i do like Frankie but have seen some negative comments on here about it being too feminine for a boy

I'd use Franklin on BC :)

I’d just go for Frank - it’s a full name in its own right.

SkaneTos · 14/07/2024 23:38

Frank, Franklin, and Francis are all good names.
My favourite would be Francis.

Luminousalumnus · 14/07/2024 23:49

Francis

RogueFemale · 15/07/2024 02:37

Francis. Franklin makes me think of Furry Freak Brothers.

KirstenBlest · 15/07/2024 11:02

Francis is nice but if you are only ever going to call him Frank, just use Frank.
Franklin is awful.

RuthW · 15/07/2024 15:56

I like Franklin.

Sandwichgen · 15/07/2024 16:22
