Hello everyone,

baby is coming in less than 10 days and she doesn’t have a name yet.

my husband really likes Evana, but i don’t like picking a religious name for her, even tho I’m Christian myself.

what do you all think?

Evana
Myla
Leah

Evana is lovely 🥰

Needmorelego · 22/06/2024 13:16

I think Leah is the nicest of the 3.

Leah

Evana - only religious in that it's a feminine form of Evan/John
Myla - don't like it
Leah - Biblical name (Jacob's wife)

JC03745 · 22/06/2024 13:50

Evana- Never heard of it and wouldn't have known it was religious. If its pronounced the same as Ivana, she will constancy correcting the spelling of it.
Myla- Not keen, sounds like a dog!
Leah- Really like. Is it pronounced Lee-ah?

Georgie743 · 22/06/2024 13:51

Leah sounds very 90s to me. In the same vein as Zoe, Gemma, Louise.

TheCultureHusks · 22/06/2024 13:51

Leah, of those three.

Really dislike Evana!

YourWinter · 22/06/2024 13:53

Leah, not keen but I dislike it less than the others.

MumsofAnarchy24 · 22/06/2024 13:55

Leah is the most appropriate of the three but where I come from girls with that name don't have the best reputation.

What about Isabelle?

Normallynumb · 22/06/2024 14:05

Leah

Moreteaandchocolate · 22/06/2024 14:05

I like Leah best, and Myla in second place

Leah

Absolutely love Leah!

Am805463 · 22/06/2024 18:54

Myla is lovely, I find Leah really dated. Evana is pretty too.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 22/06/2024 19:56

Biblical Leah is the most classic so would definitely be my pick.

Second choice would be Evana -which I haven’t seen before (but assume is a feminine version of Evan) and looks quite pretty.

Really not keen on Myla - it looks like a recent invention to fit in with all the Lyra/Lila’s and Mila/Maya’s about.

TheCultureHusks · 22/06/2024 13:51

Leah, of those three.

Really dislike Evana!

Agree

Onelittlebluefish · 22/06/2024 20:24

Leah! It sounds fresh, fun and feminine.

Is Evena pronounced Evan-a, or E-var-na? Either way it’s my least favourite of the three.

DinnaeFashYersel · 22/06/2024 20:26

Evanna or Evanne

Catopia · 22/06/2024 20:30

I don't see Evana as a really obviously religious name, even though it is biblical. However, I would consider adding another n anyway (Evanna), as "Evana" is now the name of an over-the-counter heavy period relief medication...

I think Evana/Evanna and Leah choice depends on syllables in surname and any middle name. How does the full name roll off the tongue. And of course, what seems to suit her when she arrives.

Best wishes with the birth.

Teacherprebaby · 22/06/2024 20:37

There will be 19 Isabelle's in her class at school!!

2chocolateoranges · 22/06/2024 20:41

Leah was on our girls list

though Evana sounds nice but I’m not sure on the spelling.

MadameMassiveSalad · 22/06/2024 21:37

Love Leah!

maw1681 · 22/06/2024 21:55

Leah out of those three, very pretty and classic
