I’m expecting a little girl in august - I love the name Romy but I have a son called Ronnie, is it too similar?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
stressedespresso · 16/06/2024 18:38

Yes, definitely. A lucky escape though as Romy is getting so overused!

cherryassam · 16/06/2024 18:38

It would be too similar for my taste personally but it matters if it’s too similar for you or not!

What do you like about Romy?

TeaKitten · 16/06/2024 18:39

Yes it’s too similar

LemonCitron · 16/06/2024 18:39

I wouldn't do this, sorry.

MistyHazelFox · 16/06/2024 18:39

Yes, I'm sorry. It's too similar.
What about Romilly nn Romy or Rosalie or Rosemary... maybe it's still similar, but Romy (full name) & Ronnie (full name) is too similar. Is Ronnie his full name?

TheSixQuarks · 16/06/2024 18:40

Nice names but not together.

KnitnNatterAuntie · 16/06/2024 21:30

Sorry, agree with other PP's who say that these names are too similar

How about . . .

Maisie
Josephine (Josie)
Ruby
Daisy
Poppy
Florence (Florrie)
Grace (Gracie)
Libby
Naomi
Rosanna
Sylvie

ThunderQween · 16/06/2024 22:23

Yes

Kitkat1523 · 16/06/2024 22:28

Far too samey same

Moreteaandchocolate · 16/06/2024 22:42

Probably a bit too similar - although maybe ok if Ronnie and Romy are short for other names?
