Girl name to go with Rosalie and Cecilia?

Just as the title says, struggling for a girl name to go with Rosalie and Cecilia. Was thinking Sylvie, but I think it's one of those names that I like on other people's children but wouldn't use for my own. Really like Josie, but not Josephine, but regardless I think it's too much since Rosalie gets Rosie sometimes.

Also like Betty, and I would use Elizabeth to get it but unfortunately a good friends DD is Betty, so I don't want to. Other ideas were Daphne and Delilah, but I just don't love either. Love Lucy, but I don't think it holds up with Rosalie and Cecilia unfortunately.

All suggestions welcome, TIA!

PS - Going to move to America, so the name needs to hold up there although I can't think of many that wouldn't

I prefer Eloisa personally
But Eloise does go with the song titles 😀

Imogen (Immy?)
Gabrielle/a
Mathilda

Ah I was thinking Eloisa, because her middle name will be Marjorie if it isn't her first, and Eloisa Marjorie sounds better than Eloise Marjorie. But like PP said, Eloise might be nicer with Rosalie and Cecilia since there's no rhyming, as opposed to Eloisa and Cecilia.

Josette is pretty and you could use Josie

I hadn't thought this! It might actually be a serious contendor as I really really love Josie.

Thank you all so much! I like a lot of your suggestions. My current list is:
Rosalie, Cecilia, Josette (Josie)Rosalie, Cecilia, Dorothea (Dotty, Thea, Dory)Rosalie, Cecilia, Eloise (Elsie)Rosalie, Cecilia, Marjorie (Jorie, Rory)Rosalie, Cecilia, Eloisa (Elsie)Rosalie, Cecilia, Aurora (Rory)Rosalie, Cecilia, Josephine (Josie)Rosalie, Cecilia, Persephone (Seffie, Percy)Rosalie, Cecilia, Lydia

Love Ophelia but I think it's too rhymey with Cecilia. Hermione I also really like but I don't think it'll carry well in the states as it's only known for Harry Potter there. Love Lucia but I think it shares too many sounds with Cecilia? I would pronounce it Loo-see-ah, but the pronunciation differences is another thing that would keep me away (I know I'm being fussy).

I like Aurelie and Aurelia more than Aurora, but Aurelie/orally puts me off, and Aurelia is too rhymey with Cecilia. I think I like both Persephone and Aurora more in theory than in practice.

Thoughts on Josiane?

I'm even just thinking Rosalie, Cecilia, and Josie at the point but it does seem a mismatch. Probably going to end up going with Eloise/Elsie, but I just really love Josie. I also can't get past Dorothea and Majorie, I really love them both. So the shortlist I suppose would be this:

Rosalie, Cecilia, Josette (Josie)
Rosalie, Cecilia, Dorothea (Dotty, Thea, Dory)
Rosalie, Cecilia, Eloise (Elsie)
Rosalie, Cecilia, Marjorie (Jorie, Rory)

Have just come across Dolly for Dahlia which I also like so much! Why are there so many gorgeous names in the world.

If you like Lucy you could go with Lucille or Lucia, even Louisa?

Someone above mentioned Phoebe which I find lovely.

Moreteaandchocolate · 03/06/2024 15:54

Do you like Jocelyn nn Josie?

CantSleepSweet · 03/06/2024 15:55

Delphine

minipie · 03/06/2024 15:59

Jocelyn is a good idea, not a huge fan of Jossette personally

other ideas

Jessamyn
Bethany
Bryony
Marianne
Felicity

I think I could even get Lucy from Eloise at a stretch, similar to Louisa, but I think Lucille and Lucia share too many sounds with Cecilia where it becomes a bit hissy.

I actually do really like Phoebe but it's my cats name after Phoebe Buffay! I've used so many names on cats I've become upset with myself about it. I don't like Jocelyn unfortunately, I just can't come to terms with most of the Josie full names which is so sad because I love Josie so so much!! Josette is the closest I've come but I'm still iffy.

I was even considering Josephine more seriously but then I realized it's just the feminine version of Joseph and I've dated TWO of them so I probably shouldn't do that. Truthfully I think it might be just Josie, or not at all. I knew a Josie with that as her full name in school, and it suited her to a t.

I actually really like Delphine a lot! It's in the same vein as Daphne and Delilah I think! Like Marianne as well.

Thank you!
