Frozen Names?

Am I overthinking this? We have a son called Sven and are thinking of calling our second baby if it’s a girl, Anna. But I’ve been told they are names from Frozen. Would anyone else make the connection?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes, they would definitely connect them and think you are a massive Frozen fan. Not Anna alone because it's a really common name but Sven is extremely unusual in the UK so the combo just screams Frozen. Sorry.

How about Astrid, Anais or Anya?

ZipZapZoom · 20/05/2024 17:39

People would absolutely make that connection. Sven and Anna together is not a combination you should choose unless you want to saddle the poor things with a lifetime of tiresome frozen jokes.

TakeOnFlea · 20/05/2024 17:40

I'd let it go

SonicTheHodgeheg · 20/05/2024 17:40

Yes they would.

😂

Moreteaandchocolate · 20/05/2024 17:58

Yes I think they’d make the connection unfortunately.

Talipesmum · 20/05/2024 18:00

Yes they’d definitely make the connection. I’ve only seen frozen once, my kids are older, but even I know those are key character names. Sorry!

PuttingDownRoots · 20/05/2024 18:08

Frozen 3 is in the pipeline. The connection isn't going away.

MumChp · 20/05/2024 18:10

Yes. The connection will be made.

BoleynMemories13 · 20/05/2024 18:48

Agree with everyone else I'm afraid. Both fine on their own, not too synonymous with their individual characters for it to matter, but together they just scream Frozen.

NameChange1180 · 20/05/2024 19:07

Thank you so much everyone! I’ll avoid the name (and perhaps watch frozen!)

Definitely watch it's a pretty decent film to be fair.😁

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 20/05/2024 20:57

I wouldn't make the connection. Despite having a DD who was completely target audience age, I've never seen it. She completely refused. I used to have to bring her home from Frozen parties. I still have no idea what the problem was.

stillcovidhere · 20/05/2024 21:00

If you're going to call her Anna rather than Ah-na, then I think it would be ok. Disclaimer: I have seen frozen a couple of times but tbf my kids are older and it hasn't been a huge part of our life.

NameChange1180 · 20/05/2024 21:04

Thank you, yes it’d be pronounced An-na. Back to the drawing board I go! If anyone has any suggestions of what (for boys and girls) goes with Sven please let me know!

Brilliant 😂😂😂

BillieEyelash1 · 20/05/2024 21:11

I remember in Jane the virgin Petra named her twin daughters Elsa and Anna. Three years later they changed Elsa to Ellie as people kept saying about the sisters.

gotohellforheavenssake · 20/05/2024 22:20

Sven and Anna are also a romantic item in Frozen...not a good look for siblings !
