Narrowed it down to Louis or Henry, we already have a little girl called Florence.

What are people’s thoughts on these? For/against either?

thank you!

Henry. Not keep on Louis.

Notthisnotthat · 10/05/2024 14:32

Louis.

Not keen on Henry.

cherryassam · 10/05/2024 14:34

Both are lovely.

Henry seems more popular for older boys here, but Louis more popular with toddlers / babies. But neither very very popular.

I think Henry would be my choice, as I like Harry as a nickname.

Moreteaandchocolate · 10/05/2024 15:10

I really like both. Personally Henry just edges it for me as it sounds a little “stronger” somehow.

NetMum2 · 10/05/2024 20:14

I prefer Henry.

chdjdjdnfn · 10/05/2024 20:22

Florence and Henry sounds better, too many Ls in Florence and Louis

BettyUnderswoob · 10/05/2024 21:53

I much prefer Louis.

(as long as it’s pronounced properly!)

ISeeTheLight · 10/05/2024 21:55

Both nice but I prefer Henry.
How about Remi or Remy. Also French.

CuttingAllTheFlowersStill · 10/05/2024 22:24

Both are lovely but I have a soft spot for Louis

Nonameyet1 · 10/05/2024 22:35

Really like Louis but I think Henry and Florence sound better together.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 11/05/2024 00:26

Henry. Louis can get misspelt and mispronounced ( Lewis, Louie ) plus if he’s not keen when older on it, the only obvious nn is Lou, whereas Henry at least has Hal, Harry etc. Florence has nn options, so I think it’s nice to give her brother some too.

shoopshoopdedoo · 11/05/2024 02:57

Henry! I’m not keen on Louis at all.

RuthW · 11/05/2024 05:36

Henry.

Don't like Louis.

FlameTulip · 11/05/2024 05:39

Henry

Sundaysunshine21 · 11/05/2024 11:09

Really like both, but for me it would be Henry.

BoleynMemories13 · 11/05/2024 13:11

I prefer Louis.

MolkosTeenageAngst · 11/05/2024 13:12

I don’t like either but a slight preference for Henry as I know several boys called Louis but some are ‘Lewis’ and some are ‘Looey’ and the ambiguity of how to actually pronounce it would put me off.
