Alice & Clara or Emily

Baby no.2 is due in 4 weeks, 2nd girl.
Our first daughter is Alice Elizabeth.
We are stuck between Clara Alexandra and Emily Alexandra.
Elizabeth was my mums name and Alexandra is my middle name. MIL hates her name and has told us never to use it as a middle name! However MIL said if she ever had a daughter she’d have named her Alexandra so seems a fair compromise. Surname is Chamberlain.

Which is nicer?

I have an Alice and if I’d had a third girl she would have been Clara, so that gets my vote! I do really like Emily too, it’s just not quite as lovely as Alice and Clara I don’t think :)

Even though they’re the same amount of vowels, Emily seems way more vowelly than Clara, especially when paired with Alice. I vote Clara.

Clara is beautiful, although Emily is lovely too.

I think Clara goes nicer with Alice but Emily goes nicer with Alexandra (Clara Alexandra too many a’s!) all gorgeous names though. Keep them both and go with your gut when she’s born x

I don't like Clara.

All nice names! I love Alice Elizabeth. I’d pick Emily Alexandra, personally. I like Clara but I think Emily is stronger, like Alice.

I prefer Clara with Alice.

Emily it's a classic I have one so I am biased. I think Emily or Clara goes well with Alice

I think Alice and Clara sound wonderful together but I wouldn't do Clara Alexandra

So Emily gets my vote if Alexandra is set in stone as the middle name

Had to name change for this! I have an Alice with a close cousin called Emily Alexandra, they go really well together, but Clara is beautiful too, so you can't go wrong. When they were little I bought them both this book and they loved having their names together.
