Brother for Polly?

KL29 · 03/05/2024 14:37

I am expecting baby number 2 and really struggling with names.

I have a daughter called Polly, middle name Florence. Surname begins with B 2 syllables.

Any suggestions for boys names? Middle name will be Sidney.

Names we’ve considered but don’t love: Henry, Louis, Blake.

Thank you!

What’s with the unnecessary and rude comments? Times change, name trends change, but being polite never goes out of fashion.

I love your daughter's name!

My first thought was William, but I think any fairly traditional/old-fashioned name would go well with Polly (maybe not Olly!)

IrisRuby · 04/05/2024 14:00

We had the centenary of the end of the First World War in 2018 which brought a lot of vintage names back into public focus and popularity.

Plus I think Kate and William's children had an effect. Plus these things are often cyclical. In forty years time there will probably be lots of little Sharons, Jackies and Traceys.

Samzzz · 06/05/2024 14:04

First name that came into my head was Arthur
