Boy names on the list
Henry (DH great grandads name)
Albert - recently started to really like this one I think DH might need convincing

Rupert- DH loves but I've noticed a few silences when mentioned.

Henry.
Albert makes me think of Bertie, and Rupert, Roo. So I prefer Henry, it’s a strong name.

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 02/05/2024 21:20

Henry is great

LittleCoconut · 02/05/2024 21:25

Love Rupert purely because I love the nn Roo

Lovinglife57 · 02/05/2024 21:31

I love Noah

Moreteaandchocolate · 02/05/2024 21:31

Henry is lovely.
Albert is a bit too old man for my taste but I do like the nn Albie.
Rupert I find a bit comical sounding as I only associate it with the bear.
I’m sure the names would grow on me if I knew little ones called them though.

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 02/05/2024 21:35

Henry is the best. Love it

not sure on Albert. I like Albie but not Bertie.

someone mentioned Rupert to me when I was pregnant and initially thought no way but then it grew on me. Husband said no though.

Amx · 02/05/2024 22:09

Love Rupert but it's a bold choice.

Am805463 · 02/05/2024 22:26

Love Rupert

17caterpillars1mouse · 03/05/2024 07:00

Henry (DH great grandads name) - love it, it's my sons middle name. It is high up on the charts but I only know two Henry's - one is 11 and one is 6

Albert - not a huge fan. I know sooooo many Albie's and just find it a bit wishy washy

Rupert- Rupert is alot more mainstream than it used to be. I think it's loosing its posh-vibe that the older generations will associate it with. I know a baby Rupert and it really suits him.

GoodVibesHere · 03/05/2024 07:35

I don't like any of your choices, but it's personal opinion isn't it.

Henry has a stuffy vibe and makes me think of Henry VIII. Albert is the name of a scrawny old man in a flat cap. Rupert is a childish cartoon bear in checked trousers.

Mumofgirls2017 · 03/05/2024 07:36

Love all.

henry
albert
rupertmy preference

SilverSimca · 03/05/2024 07:37

I like Henry, not keen on Rupert at all, and actually seem to be the only person who loves the nickname Bertie for Albert, I don't know why others don't!

Nicebloomers · 03/05/2024 07:53

Love Albert. Albert Henry is a good strong name.

user1492757084 · 03/05/2024 08:38

I love Henry and Rupert.

Both timeless and confident.

Albert is nice enough too. I like the nick name Al.

Do you like Hubert, Hendrix, Herbert, Bertram or Alistair?

Theoldwoman · 03/05/2024 14:02

All great names. Henry is my favourite.

Berlinlover · 03/05/2024 14:04

Henry is my favourite. Rupert is one of the worst names in existence.

HoHoHoliday · 03/05/2024 14:22

I'm not a fan at all of Rupert, I dislike the whole name and dislike Ru/Roo as a nickname. To me, it just sounds like someone took Robert and tried too hard to make it posher or more interesting.

I love your other two though!
Henry Albert or Albert Henry, both great.

shoopshoopdedoo · 03/05/2024 21:14

I really like Henry! Especially as it has family significance.

Not keen on Albert. I find it quite hard to say as from an area where we drop our “t”’s, so it always sounds unfinished.

I don’t like Rupert either. Either too posh or too bear-y for me.
