Edwin was on our list as it was my dads middle name. So Edwin!

Walt Cooper would be an excellent name! Old movie star or television news reader. “And here’s Walt Cooper with the latest on the protests in Paris.”

Not sure what angle you want to go for/what impression you want to give off - but if it's middle class or aspirational, it will be ruined by the surname Cooper. Round here (South West) it's a Traveller surname - other people remember Lauren Cooper off Catherine Tate's show so please don't call him Lawrence.

Like them all. Faves are Edmund/Edwin - though I prefer Edward to both - and Robert.

They're all terrible, I just picture a man who is a total drip with any of these names. You need a Frank or a Stan or an Alf.

Walter doesn't flow nicely with your surname imo, but otherwise I think they are all good contenders.
Though none are as good as Dismas, obviously 😉

I voted Walter because a friend named his son that. At first i was but he is just the most beautiful happy gorgeous little poppet and so i have grown to adore the name. His nn is Walt.
