Good morning, sorry to bother you again but really need help naming our baby! I posted recently and had nearly decided on Isabella as a name (older sister is Amelia nn Mia) but now wondering about Isla or Poppy. Any comments appreciated. TIA

I prefer Isabella much more than Poppy

Isla is lovely too but I prefer Isabella because then you can shorten it to Bella or Izzy both of which are lovely

Isla is lovely but both are so popular they feel overused. I don’t like Poppy, too twee and cutesy.

I have an Isabelle but also love Isabella. Very beautiful name. Not so keen on Isla and wouldn’t really like Poppy at all. Poppy is fine when you’re 3 but not as an adult really. Too cutesy.

I love Isabella

Isla sounds quite harsh to me

Personally, I know too many dogs called Poppy and also assocoate with the Poppy November thing, so linked to the armed forces in my head

Isabella nn Isla? Poppy is my favourite from the 3, and I don't think it's twee.
her cohorts will be called Teddy, Alfie, Rosie etc

I strongly prefer Isabella, I know it's been very popular here in the UK but it's beautiful. Goes well with Amelia too, as they are both longer names. Or Isabel/Isobel?

Isla has also been very popular, to be honest I find it a bit nothing-y, not sure why.

Poppy is sweet and the flower is lovely , but yes, a bit juvenile. Plus in America it can mean 'Grandad'! Could cause problems if she decides to live there for a while, etc.

I like all 3 names but voted for Isla - I love how it’s short, simple and pretty for all ages. It goes brilliantly with Mia. And although it’s popular, it’s much less popular than Isabella (once you include all the variations of that name).

They are all good names!

I voted for Poppy, but I think the name Isabella is a better combo with Amelia.

Isabella - it’s very popular but it is a beautiful classic

I like Isla too, it’s just similarly overdone but less of a classic

Poppy is babyish so not that
