Jenson and Rocco

Twin names, of course

Do these sound okay for 2 boys? Not me. My sister, she thinks they're really cool

It's my opinion that I'm not keen Grin but I've said loads of people will find that interesting and a cool vibe

She doesn't really care that I don't like them. For what it's worth! But I've said other people will

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I like both names and think they sound good together. Solid choice, I don’t think they are ‘interesting’ and ‘cool’ names. Just normal nice names.

(I know people with both these names - no one has commented as far as I know).

Moreteaandchocolate · 15/04/2024 19:05

I like them!

Alchemistress · 15/04/2024 19:10

I dunno, sounds a bit offspring of 90s Brit pop types to me. I'm not keen.

Aglassaday · 15/04/2024 19:11

I do love both names though I think Rocco is maybe a little cooler than Jenson so maybe don’t quite match but completely up to you of course!
I would do Rocco and…
Maverick
Cooper
Orion
Jax/Jaxon
Xander
Evander
Atlas
Casper
Tyler
Albie

PitterPatter3 · 15/04/2024 19:12

I personally prefer more traditional names but these are fine if to her taste. They’re both known names and not way out there.

JustGettingStarted · 15/04/2024 19:12

I may have been looking at too many dog rescue sites, but they sound like dog names to me.

In fact, my adopted dog was originally named Rocco.

MrsMoiraRose · 15/04/2024 19:18

I like Rocco but not really Jenson. But I equally wouldn't bat an eyelid at anyone using it.

SpicyMargaritaPlease · 15/04/2024 19:22

I hate Jenson. Always have. I have no idea why. I really like Rocco though.

CrappyBarbara · 15/04/2024 19:47

They are perfectly fine names, not what I would choose but I’m sure plenty of people wouldn’t choose my kids’ names either.

PuntoEBasta · 15/04/2024 20:31

I would recommend doing an advanced search for 'Rocco' to find some of the previous threads where a number of us have explained the connotations that it has in Italy.

PossumintheHouse · 15/04/2024 20:37

Sounds like they're about to get in a ring and bash the shit out of each other.

DuchessOfSausage · 15/04/2024 20:43

I don't like them at all but my taste is more traditional.

TheBirdintheCave · 15/04/2024 22:25

It's Jensen, with an 'e'.

They don't really go together in my opinion. One is a currently popular Danish surname, the other a very old given name with Germanic roots 🤔

theduchessofspork · 16/04/2024 00:04

Jenson is going to be the Ryan / Jayden type name of the next couple years, so I wouldn’t do that

Rocco is a bit - yes I wish I were in Hello but since I’m not I’m going to give my kid a celeby offspring name

Maverick, Jax/on and Tyler are crimes against humanity

Sparklybutold · 16/04/2024 00:07

At a push jenson.

Rocco is a pornstar name.

SnowFrogJelly · 16/04/2024 01:02

Nope

WhatWouldYouDo33 · 16/04/2024 01:04

Awful individually and worse together. Not a cool vibe more trying hard.

Rocco also makes me think of Madonna and Rocco Ritchie

DramaAlpaca · 16/04/2024 01:11

I don't mind Jenson, I hate Rocco.

I like that they are not matchy matchy for twins, but those two names are just too different in style.

I thought Rocco was Italian? I know one who is Italian and siblings have standard Italian names.

inappropriateraspberry · 16/04/2024 08:21

They sound awful!

CattyCow · 16/04/2024 08:26

Naff.

MistyBerkowitz · 16/04/2024 08:37

Both dreadful.

CiaoBe · 16/04/2024 08:38

Sounds like a pair of French bulldogs.

DrJoanAllenby · 16/04/2024 08:41

Jenson and Rocco.

Awful Asbo names.
