I like Austin but prefer August. Also love Lucas, Lewis, Thomas. I find Ethan and Tommy just fine, but don't like Reece.
I love Rosanna, Georgina, Chloe and Carys (but it's pronounced Car-is correctly). I find Clara to be hard to wear in English speaking countries due to two pronunciations, and I dislike Clair-a variant, while Jasmine, Roseanne, Summer, Sabrina, Madison, Rosa, Cassie, and Ava are just fine. Dislike Kendall, Kelsey, Macey and Gracie.

CutPiece · 12/04/2024 10:42

I like Clara, Cassie, Rosanna, Lucas and Thomas. Macey, Kendall, Madison and Kelsey are awful, unless your vibe is ‘Valley Girl With Vocal Fry’.

FastFashionFashionFast · 12/04/2024 10:46

I only like Rosanna, Lewis and Thomas, but I really like all three! I had all those names on my list for dc2 who is now 6yo and I still love these names. They haven't dated at all.

Dislike the others (sorry)

TheLongThinTetrisStick · 12/04/2024 10:47

Rosa and Austin for me.

AnnaDomini · 12/04/2024 11:58

Ava - looks nice but I don't like the sound
Carys - doesn't even look nice, sounds like Karen and Doris, both of which are nicer
Cassie - nice
Chloe - OK but know dozens of them
Clara - don't like it.
Georgina- like
Gracie - 'Gricey' where I live
Jasmine - like
Kelsey - Frasier
Kendall - big shop in Manchester
Macey - big shop in NYC
Madison - Avenue
Rosa - Parks
Rosanna - Toto
Roseanne - Barr
Sabrina - Charlie's Angel
Summer - Sums for short?

Austin - Allegro, Powers, Texas
Ethan - know dozens of them, most are Eefun
Lewis - ok
Lucas - car parts
Reece - OK, a bit surnamey
Thomas - love it
Tommy - OK if short for Thomas. Tommy Robinson - ugh!

AnnaDomini · 12/04/2024 12:01

Carys (but it's pronounced Car-is correctly) Isn't it pronounced Karris?
I don't say the r in Car.

theduchessofspork · 12/04/2024 12:50

Carys, Sabrina or Cassia - all great

Thomas or Ethan

Ava - lovely but done to death
Carys - love it
Cassie - great but as a nn
Chloe - fine
Clara - very nice
Georgina ok
Gracie - not as a full name and Grace is v overdone
Jasmine - v nice
Kelsey - really awful
Kendall - really awful and embarrassing homage
Macey - really awful (none of these names will help your daughter in life)
Madison - awful
Rosa - lovely but overdone
Rosanna - lovely but too many Rose names
Roseanne - Rosanna is nicer
Sabrina - love it
Summer - it was once charmingly hippyish, now gone south

Boys:
Austin - powers, car. It’s OK
Ethan - nice
Lewis - ok
Lucas - very nice but Lucas and Luca both super popular
Reece - no, grease
Thomas - nice but very popular
Tommy - not as a full name

fairytailadventure · 12/04/2024 13:04

My favourites are Grace from the girls list and Thomas from the boys.

MiddleAgedDread · 12/04/2024 13:05

Nice:
Ava
Chloe
Clara
Georgina

OK:
Carys
Cassie
Gracie - Grace is better, Gracie is too cutesy IMO
Jasmine
Rosa
Rosanna
Roseanne

Awful:
Kelsey
Kendall
Macey
Madison
Sabrina
Summer

Nice:
Lewis
Reece (but I'd spell it Rhys)
Thomas

OK:
Ethan
Lucas

Awful:
Austin
Tommy (needs to be Thomas in full)

AnnaDomini · 12/04/2024 13:09

Cassie (Cassandra), Georgina, Jasmine, Sabrina - they're all quite different so would wait to meet her first.

Thomas nn Tommy or Austin. Again, they're quite different

fairytailadventure · 12/04/2024 13:12

Is Cassie a nn for Cassidy or Cassia, Cassandra? Or on its own?

Theoldwoman · 12/04/2024 13:56

Clara and Lucas are my favourites.

FlyingPizzaMonkey · 12/04/2024 15:40

Ava and Grace have been done to death. Especially as they’re usually paired together. Don’t like Gracie, far too twee.

Love Clara and Jasmine and like Sabrina.

Quite like Reece. I know so many boys called Lucas and Lewis.

Molly4689 · 12/04/2024 20:19

Love Rosa and Austin, all of the other names are nice enough though. Tommy is the only one I really don't like.

Mumofgirls2017 · 12/04/2024 22:51

Clara by a mile

cassie and summer quite nice

ethan and Austin most acceptable from your boys!

Mumofgirls2017 · 12/04/2024 22:51

Also yes like Rosa 👍

miniaturepixieonacid · 12/04/2024 23:06

Girls:
Ava - really like it. I know it's super popular but there are so many names out there, especially for girls, that I don't feel like I know a ridiculous number of Avas at all (and I'm a teacher).
Carys - really like it. And I only know one. It's known but quite different.
Cassie - like it as a nickname for Cassandra, Cassia or Cassidy but not on its own.
Chloe - it's nice enough but it's been popular for so long that I find it a bit boring. And it has quite a harsh sound.
Clara - it's ok. Good, solid name, just not one I'd pick.
Georgina - love it. And love Georgie as a nickname too.
Gracie - cute for a child as a nickname for Grace but, if it were my name, I would definitely want to be able to be Grace as an adult. Grace is beautiful. Though I would have a slight worry about using it for a child in case they turned out to be the reverse of graceful! (I know it means God's grace/the virtue, not slender elegance but the association would be there and kids could be cruel to a clumsy or large Grace.
Jasmine - like it. Pretty and much less common than it used to be.
Kelsey - not keen. It's a pretty sound but it's so late 80s/early 90s.
Kendall - quite like it but I'm from Kendal so the double ll looks wrong to me (I know it's not wrong) and it makes me think of Dance moms.
Macey - quite like it. More of a cutesy name for a child but I can't think of a longer version.
Madison - like it but also makes me think of Dance moms.
Rosa - it's okay but I much prefer Rose and Rosie.
Rosanna - quite like it. Elegant and good nickname potential if you end up wanting to shorten it.
Roseanne - not keen. Sounds like an unfinished Rosanna to me.
Sabrina - it's ok but always associated with the teenage witch. Which isn't necessarily an awful thing.
Summer - quite like it for a baby born in the summer. Wouldn't use it otherwise.

Boys:
Austin - like it. Sounds very American to me but it's a nice name.
Ethan - not keen personally but it's a good name. I have no reason for not especially liking it.
Lewis - love it. Some people have said it's very popular but I don't know many.
Lucas - quite like it but not one I'd pick.
Reece - seems a bit dated but I quite like it. I think I'd spell it Rhys for a boy. Reece is maybe a bit more unisex.
Thomas - really like it.
Tommy - like it for a child but only as a nickname for Thomas, not a standalone.

I would choose Georgina and Lewis.

Fifthtimelucky · 13/04/2024 08:19

I like traditional names.

Girls: I only like Georgina, though Clara is OK
Boys: I only like Thomas.

Tommy

Like Carys (also Cerys), Cassie (especially if short for Cassandra), Jasmine, Rosa, Rosanna, Sabrina and Summer.
Gracie is OK.
Kendall - I can't not think Ken Doll.
Kelsey and Madison are very 90's American and I think are dating in the same way as 70's Traceys - not keen in Macey either.

For boys I like Ethan, Lucas and Thomas. Tommy is OK but I'd go with Thomas to give him the choice.
There seem to be a lot of Reeces and Lewises in their 20s at the moment, not keen on either- Rhys is nicer than Reece.
Never liked Austin.

shoopshoopdedoo · 13/04/2024 21:33

Really like Chloe
Quite like Ava, Clara, Georgina

Really like Thomas

Notellinganyone · 13/04/2024 21:59
