Do you like the name celine?

39 weeks and undecided on girls name… do you like the name Celine?

It's good name, but I think of Celine Dion and think that may date the name a bit.
What about Celeste, Celina/Selina or Serena?

I adore it, I have an auntie Celine, she’s wonderful. If I had a dd she would be a Celine.

I like it but I did instantly start humming “my heart will go on” in my head! That might get annoying for her if lots of other people have the same reaction (might just be me though!)

I like the name and (if it were my dd) give the nn CeCe which I also love.

I think it's very sweet. And year CeCe as a nickname is excellent!

I don't like it. Some of the similar name suggestions other people have given sound like names of contraception. Cece is cute though

I'm not sure how popular or well known celine dion is with younger generations but I feel the connections are too strong. It also auto corrects to feline. Make of that what you will.

Celeste reminds me of "hi my names Daphne and this is my friend Celeste" from the 90s "ooh stick you, your mama too and your daddy". If kids ever caught on to that... Jesus!

What about Selena? Clementine? Seraphina?

Isn't Selene a different name? I've taught a couple and they both pronounce is si-LEN, whereas Celine sounds like si-LEEN.

I also teach a Celina and love it.

Are you going to say SAYleen then? As that's how it's pronounced with accent, Céline. I prefer Selina. That way the sell or sayl pronunciation isn't an issue
